About Me
I am married and have one daughter who is now 13. I have a lovely playarea and lots of different toys for children of different ages.
I aim to provide the children in my care with a loving and fun home from home setting.
I provide healthy snacks, drinks and a lunch.
I can provide excellent references from past and present parents that I have provided childcare for.
My Experience
I have been childminding for nearly ten years. I have worked with babies, pre-school and older children.
Before I was a childminder I worked in a Skills Centre for people with learning and physical disabilities. I started off teaching there and worked my way up to the position of Training Manager.
I have a basic knowledge of sign language and lots of experience of working with various disabilities.
My Qualifications
I have a first aid with children certificate. I have various certificates for different training courses that I have attended, ie;CAF Common assessment framework, Observation and planning, Safeguarding Children, Nutrition and Oral Health,Early Years Foundation Stage, Behaviour Management, Level 2 Food Safety in Catering,Introducing Childminding Practice, City & Guilds Initial Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills,NVQ Training and Development, Introduction to Counselling.
I have also attended training sessions on Epilepsy.
My Availability
Currently I have a space on a Tuesday. From July 2012 I will have a fulltime and part time space Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays. From October 2012 I will also have a part time space on a Thursday. Hours negotiable.
