About Me
Hello.
My name is Marie. I have been childminding for 19 years now and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I have three children, my youngest will be starting nursery in September, my middle child attends Manor Junior School and my eldest no longer lives at home. She is however a childminder herself and has always said that it was my genuine love for childminding that encouraged her to follow in my footsteps. I am extremely proud of her and her childminding achievements.
I moved to Barking from Tower Hamlets in February and have settled in very well. There are a vast selection of children's centre local to me, which I use often. Furthermore I take advantages of the lovely parks, events and other child friendly facilities.
My Experience
I have been childminding since 1993 and when I think back I have so many happy memories. Over the years I have looked after many children, some of whom are now young adults. Many of the children and parents still keep in contact with me and to me they are friends.
On my last Ofsted inspection I was awarded an another outstanding, and I was the first in Tower Hamlets to achieve a second outstanding in a row.
I have worked with children with an array of individual needs (e.g dietary) and I adapt my setting and procedures to ensure that all children enjoy and benefit from my care. I provide a stimulating, caring and safe environment that enables children to develop and have fun at the same time.
My husband and I are both CRB checked.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ level 3 and I am also a qualified first aider. Furthermore I have attended many training courses, some of these are listed below. I have certificates certifying my attendance on these courses.

- Food safety and hygiene.
- Autism awareness.
- Equality & diversity.
- Working with children with additional needs.
- Child development.
- Jabadeo (dance and movement).
Training is extremely important to me as I believe that it enables me to continue to develop my childminding skills and ensures that the knowledge that I have is current and relevant, therefore any training offered to me is accepted without hesitation.
My Availability
I am available on Monday to Friday from 8am - 6pm however hours can be discussed further if need be.

Marie cared for our first son as his childminder from the age of 4 months to until he was 18 months when her family moved to Barking and he is now cared for by her lovely daughter who is fortunately for us a childminder too.
We couldn't express fully how wonderful Marie is with the children in her care. Her experience, diligence, proffessionality, qualifications, varied activities (which are age relevant, educational and fun) and most of all the safe, loving home environment she provides are second to none.
Our son has thrived and we credit Marie as being a huge reason for why we now have such a happy and confident little boy.
We had issues with undiagnosed allergies which Marie not only supported us with achieving the right medical attention but with the managment of them after.
I can't imagine that leaving your child with someone is ever easy at first but Marie ensured that the settling in process was managed to suit both my husband and I and my son (who far from protesting settled in from the start). It took no time at all for us all to feel completely comfortable.
Marie communicates with her parents easily and effectively both verbally and through the induvidual, daily diaries she keeps.
I would recommend Marie in a heartbeat and say that any child would be privileged to experience her care.
