About Me
Hi my name is Joan,
I am a OFSTED Registered Childminder in the London Borough of Southwark.
My area is Camberwell SE5 8HR
I have an NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Child Care and Education and have been CRB checked.
My First Aid paediatric Certificate and Safe Guarding Certificate are up to date and I carry out regular Childcare training to safeguard the children in my care.
My home is a three bedroom house with a lovely rear garden where the children are able to play safely in a home from home environment, and experience a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities both planned and spontaneous. (Free Play, Role play, Fun Activities, Physical Activities, Library, Drop-in Centres etc) We also visit several lovely parks within walking distance daily. Ruskin and Sunray to name a few.
All the children in my care are loved, nurtured, treated equally and without discrimination, they are listened and encouraged to explore the environment around them freely under constant supervision, to be kind to one another and happily share life experiences.
The meals I provide are healthy and nutritious with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables served daily. Special dietary needs are always observed.
I enjoy sharing information with parents about their child's day, development and achievements on a daily basis and am always available for a chat.
My Experience
I am an experienced Registered Childminder who enjoys caring for children and working with their parents to ensure their child's early years are safe, happy, educational and fun.
I am always available to listen and assist if required in every step of the way.
I am extremely proud of the wonderful experiences parents, children and I have shared over the years.
I have three children of my own who have all grown up and flown the nest and five lovely grandchildren who I adore.
I know sometimes it is not easy for your and your little one when it is time for you to leave them with a childminder and go back to work, it can also be emotional for you after being with them 24/7 since birth. My aim is to make this time as easy as possible for you both and in my experience couple of weeks settling in period before their start date is a great way of making the transition smoothe and easy, with lots of love and encouragement from us working together, they will feel safe and secure in the new surroundings and will happily look forward to their day.
I attend early years training courses on a regular basis to ensure that I up to date with the ever changing EYFS policies and procedures and that the children in my care are safe, happy and able to progress in their development through daily activities and experiences.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £9.50 per hour
My fees are paid on a monthly basis, in advance.
I also accept Childcare Vouchers, Tax Free Childcare, 2 year olds free childcare, 3/4 year olds free childcare.
Fees will be discussed upon requirements. Eg: full time/part time.
