I'm 43 years old and born and bred in Ealing, West London. I have done various jobs over the years but have always had an interest in working with children. I'm an outgoing individual who enjoys traveling, socialising and experiencing new things.
I have a background in dance, so consider myself to be fairly creative with a good imagination for new games and play ideas. During my time as a dancer, I also helped to run dance classes for children aged between 3-12.
My travels have taken me to SE Asia and Australia, where I lived and worked for a year. I love learning about and experiencing new cultures and countries and I value the time that I have spent in all of these wonderful places highly. My time away definitely helped me grow as an individual. I lived in Sri Lanka for 3 months where I helped teach English to children aged between 4-17 at a Tsunami Relief Camp. It was a very challenging yet rewarding experience.
While I'm at home I love nothing more than meeting up with friends, exercising and generally enjoying life. I love going to the theatre, art galleries and exhibitions. London is an incredible place to live and I feel very fortunate to call it home as there are so many things happening on your doorstep.
I'm looking forward to finding a job with a family who are fun loving, outgoing and whom believe in keeping busy. I like to spend as much time outdoors as possible. I don't believe in plonking a child in front of the telly for entertainment. That's not fun for the child or myself. However I also understand the importance of down time in which case sometimes catching up on a favourite programme or film is justified.
My Experience
After returning from some overseas travel 11 years ago and while looking for a job I was asked to look after friends children on a short term basis. Through them I was recommended to other families to help out with more short term childcare placements. Although over the years I have worked with children in many forms from babysitting since I was 14, teaching children's dance classes for a couple of years, volunteering as a teachers help in a primary school and teaching English in Sri Lanka, I had never considered a full time career in childcare until the families I was working for (both parents and children) told me I was very good at my job and suggested I look into taking it up full time. I thoroughly enjoyed the work, so I took their advice and decided to seek a full time nanny position and make childcare my career. Since then I haven’t looked back.
I have looked after children on a daily and weekly basis, evening babysitting and on some occasions over night and at weekends. I have experience twins. I have also been asked to house sit for some of the families while they have been away.
My Qualifications
I have no recognised childcare qualification, everything I know has been learnt on the job over the years.
I am Ofsted registered and hold a full DRB check. I also have an Ofsted recognised Paediatric First Aid certificate. I have full nanny insurance.
My Availability
I currently work 4 days a week, with the days split between two families. Each have two children, the youngest being 4 months and the eldest being five years old. My main job will soon be coming to an end due to the youngest starting nursery and a possible move out of London. I AM IDEALLY LOOKING FOR A FULL TIME, SOLE CARE, 4/5 day POSITION WITH ONE FAMILY.
Ideally I would like to find work in either Chiswick, Acton or Hammersmith. I can be available from 7.00am-7pm (depending on how far from home the job is). I will be available from the start of October.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)
I currently earn £14 per hour net. A nanny share placement commands a higher net rate per hour, as can part time and temporary positions.
