About Me
OUTSTANDING Ofsted Childcare Provider. Tiddles Childcare is a unique large, spacious setting. The setting is a home environment childcare provider, with a specified area where the children enjoy all the activities and routines as a Nursery and Pre-school. We follow the EYFS, and assess all children within the setting to ensure their development needs are met in line with the Early Years Outcomes.
Tiddles Child Care has been established in Herongate since 2012 and provides a friendly, fun and educational environment with a spacious, secure garden.
We believe allowing all children within the setting to explore their environment and spend plenty of time in the outside space is important for mental and physical health development along, with excellent opportunities to learn and develop. The setting is well equipped and activities are adapted to meet all age groups. We have an additional room for quiet and nap time.
The setting has a small Border Terrier dog, who enjoys supervised socialising time with the children at Tiddles Childcare and we help to educate the children about caring for animals.
My Experience
The setting has an OUTSTANDING Ofsted rating. Tiddles Child Care provides full day, half days, and breakfast club. We care for children from the age of 5 months to 5 year olds.
We follow and implement the EYFS & Development Matters and use Tapestry reporting system to communicate what fun we have had during the day, and send out care diaries daily to the parents.
We plan our activities to include all children (whatever their age) and to suit their development needs.
All meals are cooked and provided, including breakfast, lunch and tea, with a range of healthy snacks and drinks. However, we are happy to serve food provided by parents, if they prefer.

In the setting we have extensive experience and our qualifications consist of:
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Work Force.
Diploma in Home-based Childcare - with a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Safeguarding Children Level 3
Paediatric First Aid Course
The setting has been awarded a level 5 Food Hygiene rating from Brentwood Council, fully trained and allergy awareness course completed.

After visiting other settings including bigger nurseries, we decided to put our child to Tiddles Childcare. Professional approach - qualifications, setting layout, procedures in place convinced me, that this is safe place to leave my baby for the whole day, while I am in work. My child met many new friends of different age, which is very beneficial as he hasn't got any older siblings. Small group of children helped my child develop his speech very quickly. At the end of every day I receive daily report via email, so I am informed what happen that day - meals, naps, play time, topic of the day and of the month. Jackie also use an app to track children's development, and I have an access to my child's profile. I's very nice to receive a message in the middle of the day with your child's photo - always doing something interesting. To send your precious child to childcare is always difficult, but I trust Jackie, and I'm really happy with relationship which my family have with her.
