About Me
Hi I’m an older mother of 8 wonderful children 5 girls and 3 boys, amongst them was a set of twins when they were born I had 3 older children oldest was still only 6 years old it was hard work but I loved every minute of it, I was lucky I was able to be a stay at home mum. They now have provided me with 12 grandchildren, one of which has complexed needs but sadly I don’t see her at the moment. The oldest is 21 and the youngest is 4 months old and I enjoys helping my daughter caring for her babies when needed.
I would in adult social care supporting young adults with learning difficulties mostly have Down’s syndrome the work is very rewarding. I’m getting close to retirement so I’m cutting my hours down, and I’m looking to helping mothers with their babies and children.
My Experience
My experiences are mostly with my own children raising them with ages very close together and helping with my grandchildren.
I was a registered children minder when my last two children were small and I looked after children via social services.
I did voluntary work with Home-start and helped a very young mum with her baby and she then went onto have a second baby, sadly funding ran out in Bridgwater and it shut down, I do still keep in contact with her.
My Qualifications
I did a course called home management and family welfare when at college many years ago I also hold an NVQ 2 in health and social care and have done various training eg vulnerable adults, first aid manual handling nutrician and many others. I started to do training in peg feeding and trache care whilst granddaughter in hospital but didn’t get to finish it, but willing to start again.
My Availability
I can be fairly flexible but I still need to keep my primary employment unless I got enough work to give it up.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
£12 per hour week days £16 at week end and evenings
Sleeping in £80 per night from 10pm to 8am Unless the children are poor sleepers it could be slightly more.
