I have been married to Peter for 31years we have 3 children 5 grandchildren 1 Great Grandson
We moved to uphal after my husband came out the army
I enjoy reading . Knitting I can make most things but I love making baby shawls & baby clothes.
I love to look after my garden , I have a few orchids that grow really well.
We enjoy going away for weekends
I do love to cook & baking .
spending time with my family & friends is so important to me
I have a full driving licence , have my own car .
My Experience
I have worked with children for the past 45 years at playgroup private nurseries & also as nanny.
I also worked in west lothian sport Centres with handicapped adults & Creche.
When i was at nursery I was in charge of my own room with 3 to 5 year old. Also covered in other rooms .I also covered for the Manager when she was on holiday
I prefer to work as a Nanny in the children's own .
surroundings , Where children are happier , it is a huge step for them to have someone to look after them but being in there own home they settle quicker.
I still have contact with my families , that is so nice as I have been in there life's at a important stage .
I have been working with a family of 4 boys for more than 2 years .
One boy who has been diagnosed with Autismn he’s 5 , a toddler 2 who’s waiting to get his diagnosis of Autism .
When I started with this Family I hadn’t worked with Autistic children it’s been a amazing experience.
Learning lots from them & how there little minds work .
My Qualifications
I don't have any papers on childcare but i do have a lot of experience ,
I have a up to date PVG ( Disclosure Scotland )
I also think being a mum & grandma & Great Grandma gives me the best qualification anyone could have .
I also have references from the families I have cared for ,
