About Me
My name is Gemma I am 29 and I live in Glemsford which is nearly half way between Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds.
I have worked in childcare since I was 19 years old and obtained my level 3 qualification while working for Yorley Barn Nursery School with children aged 2-5. I am now a full time student studying for a degree in early childhood studies at University of Suffolk.
During my time at Yorley Barn I also worked as a babysiter / nanny in the evenings and holidays for parents of the nursery.
In June 2014 I travelled to Australia and was an aupair for a family with 5 children (aged between 4 and 12) and a family with 3 children (3 months - 6 years old).
I returned to the UK and continued working for Yorley Barn until I had my daughter in October 2015. I was a stay at home mum for a while, returned to nursery working for a few years and then decided to take the plunge and study. I started my degree in September 2019 and am hoping to finish by 2023 as due to covid this has been postponed.
I now have 2 children, 5 and 2 months and am available for evening babysitting or housekeeping/cleaning positions during the day. I could also arrange school pick ups/drop offs depending on location and time.
My Experience
I worked for Yorley Barn Nursery School since January 2011 minus the 7 month break I was in Australia.
Springfields Nursery with children from 3 months - 5 years old.
I have babysat for families with up to 5 children at a time, age ranges from 0-12
A few years ago I nannied for a family with 3 children and prepared lunch and activities for them while mum was at work all day.
I also have in the past done private cleaning and ironing so am happy to take on some housekeeping duties as well as childcare.

- Nannying from £10.50 per hour (gross)
