About Me
Hi my name is Jenny, I am married and have two wonderful. I live on Howley Grange Road, close to Howley Grange Primary School.
I run a before and after school club for Howley Grange Primary school children.
I am a full time, Ofsted Registered childminder and graded "GOOD” in my last inspection. My setting is a semi-detached property and I am registered for downstairs only. Myself, my husband, son and daughter are all fully DBS checked and non smokers. I have a 5 star food rating by Dudley Council.
You are more than welcome to visit my setting and have a relaxing chat. I have a dedicated playroom which I have set up using the Montessori ethos where children learn individually and at their own pace by moving freely around the room and choosing from a wide range of hands-on, age-appropriate activities that are designed to teach. Children can move freely from the playroom, to the lounge where this is quiet, and they can relax and have quiet time. The garden has a large lawn and a patio area where children can choose from a variety of ride-on toys. It is secure and very child friendly.
My Experience
Happy Days Childminding Service has been established for 12 years. I am a member of the Dudley Network of childminders and provide Early Educational Funding (15 hrs and 30 hrs free childcare for 2, 3 & 4 year olds). I provide settling in sessions for your child before starting full time. A daily diary is kept which I record food, sleep times, nappy changes and activities throughout the day which you take home to read every evening. Food and playgroups are included in the price. We regularly visit local playgroups, parks and Woodgate Valley Country Park to feed the animals.
I regularly attend training courses to enable me to keep up to date with new policies and also a great way to keep children safe whilst in my care.

Week days : - Monday - Friday 7.30 am - 5.30
Before and After school services Howley Grange Primary School 7.30 am - 8.45 am, 3.15 pm - 5.30pm. I walk to school which is 400 yards away.
I run a school holiday club providing varied and enjoyable activities.

My son has just turned 3 and has been going to Jenny's 3 days a week for 2 years and he has a fantastic time when he goes.
He runs to the door and loves to be there always telling me at the end of the day that he doesn't want to go home!
Jenny cares for all my son's needs, his well being and his development, she is teaching him skills from counting, number recognition, pencil holding to potty training and many more besides.
He loves playing with the wonderful and educational activities as well as the great garden with zones and play equipment. He loves going to to the library and play groups as well as other trips out to the park and day to day activites.
Jenny is very welcoming, friendly and flexible helping us out when we needed. She is a wonderful childminder and I am pleased to be able to leave my son in her care knowing that he is supported and nurtured.
Overall
My two sons have been going to Jenny's for over 4 years. Although now mostly before and after school, she also has them in the holidays and they LOVE it. My eldest son says it's like he has two homes! They always do lots of different things from crafty make and do to board games, playing in the garden or at the park and long walks to the Woodgate Valley Country Park. Jenny is a lovely person who is warm and friendly and is kind and fair to all the kids. She even treats them to an icecream from the van from time to time! I would always recommend her. It's no wonder she's just been awarded Outstanding status by Ofsted!

Overall
Jenny has been looking after my daughter since she was 6 months old when I had to return to full time work. Heidi is now 3 ½ and has been attending Happy Day Childminding Service 5 days a week Monday to Friday.
I have been extremely happy with the care my daughter has received; I could not fault it in any way. She has made great progress whilst in Jenny’s care. Jenny is very friendly, welcoming and very professional and provides a clean and well organised home. My daughter has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care.
Beyond all this though, it is Jenny’s warm and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. My daughter has enjoyed sand and water play, drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles as well as outings to the park, regular visits to the library, weekly play groups, and trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods.
Jenny is a great communicator and has no trouble in gaining my daughters confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home.
When my daughter steps outside her boundaries she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms which she understands.
When she is hurt or feeling under the weather I know that she feels happy to be comforted by Jenny and I am 100% confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure her health and safety.
Since my daughter has been in Jenny’s care a lot has happened regards to her health, firstly she was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease which meant a strict Gluten Free Diet. Then she was suffering with a moderate to severe hearing loss which was brought on by the Coeliac Disease. This meant that Jenny had these extra responsibilities which didn’t faze her at all. She has done a brilliant job in making sure my daughters diet has been adhered to and done lots of work to improve her communication skills.
My daughter has developed remarkably well considering, she is writing her name, knows all her numbers, shapes, colours and is a remarkable confident girl.
This is only down to the care, attention and love that Jenny provides, not just to my daughter but all of the children she cares for.
Jenny completes a daily diary detailing what the children have done each day. From this I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, and all her activities. This helps me to feel involved with her care so that I can talk to my daughter about her day.
Jenny is very creative and always comes up with new ideas and ways to teach the children new things. This is so nice to see and the children learn so much from this which helps them develop their creative personalities.
I don’t know what I would do without the help and support that I receive from Jenny, my daughter loves to go and talks about her all the time. I am so blessed to have found a brilliant childminder that I can trust 100% and the care she provides is outstanding. I would absolutely recommend Jenny to anyone.

Overall
My one year old boy loves going to see Jenny, his face breaks into a massive grin as soon as he gets there. He has a very active time whilst with Jenny and is always a tired boy at home time. Jenny is brilliant with him and he is developing well in her care. I get to read what he has been upto in the diary Jenny keeps for him. One happy mommy.
