My Experience

From the age of 16 - 21 I worked in 2 nursery/preschool settings. I was a nursery assistance and worked my way up to become a nursery nurse by completing my nvq2 in childcare. I worked with children from the ages of 3 months to 5 years. I then left my second nursery to become a sole charge nanny.

From 2011 - 2013
I was a nanny for a lovely family in botley green. I looked after a boy aged 4 and a girl aged 6. This was an after school position so I would start my day by collecting the children from school and taking them home to help with homework, cook a healthy evening meal and play/interact until their parents arrived home. I had sole charge and worked full days during school holidays. We spent time indoors and outdoors, arts and crafts, taking them to their individual activities. We visited the farm, country parks went for walks ect.

From 2013- 2014

I was a sole charge nanny for 3 lovely little girls in chandlers ford. Aged 9, 6 and 3. I worked mon-fri I arrived at 7:30 in the morning to start the breakfast routine, get all girls dressed and ready for school and pre-school. I also did light household duties. I helped the girls with homework cooked lunch and evening meals. We also did lots of activities together as well as taking each of the girls to their individual activities. Unfortunately the youngest was due to start school and they no longer required a nanny.

2013 - 2015

I was a sole charge nanny for 3 wonderful girls aged 4, 2 and 8 months old. I worked tues - fri. I would arrive in the morning to help with the breakfast routine and get the oldest girl ready for school. I would do the school run and spend the rest of the day with the other two girls. We attended activities such as jiggy wrigglers and also met another nanny who worked in the area. We did things such as swimming, the zoo, farm, parks, walks. Arts and crafts and some days we just snuggled up on the sofa and had a movie day :)

I then fell pregnant and went on maternity leave. In May 2015. The two older children were then at school and the youngest was put in to a nursery where she really enjoyed going. so as a mutual agreement between myself and the parents I wouldn't return after my maternity leave.

I have also done many years of babysitting for family, friends and parents of children who attended nursery and also babysitting for the children I nannied for.

I have now been a mummy for 7 years to 4 children so have experience in all age groups.
