About Me
Hello My name is Doreen and I have been an OFSTED registered childminder since 2006. I live in Reigate with my family.
I provide home from home childcare I have a space where children play, do crafts, a dinning area and sleeping area, an outdoor space and a cabin fully insulated and heated equipped with toys, we make good use of the woodlands, parks in the surrounding area.
The children have the opportunity to play and learn. We go out to toddlers groups, we go to play areas, visit farms, parks and local events. I drive a 7 seater car fitted with child seats, which is fully insured and maintained by a qualified certified garage.
Children feel safe and secure in my setting, Myself , husband and my children have got DBS clearance and 1st Aid training in Date. I have Safeguarding, 1st Aid, DBS, EYFS training in date in order to keep the setting current with the requirements and guidelines set by the Govt. Additionally children have my support to develop new skills across all areas of the EYFS. The child`s development is observed and this allows me to facilitate the next steps for individual planning and interests. I value each child equally and help build their strengths and improve their learning development by following the EYFS statutory framework and by working in partnership with the parents. I am a qualified level 6 practitioner with a Higher qualification in Childcare and Education.
I provide fruit snack, breakfast, lunch and a hot meal at additional cost. I cater for children's individual diet requirements. I have a day rate of £7p/hr and an afternoon rate of £6.50p/hr for after schoolers. I do pick up`s & drop off`s at Dovers Green and Sandcross School . I open the setting early at 7:30, and throughout the year. Monday to Friday. I offer weekend childcare with prior arrangements. I also provide term time only agreements, and I do holiday care for school aged children, I offer the Free entitlement for 2 to 3 year olds, and 15 hour free childcare for 3- 4 year olds provided by the GOVT subject to terms and conditions the provider has to adhere. I have some Spaces available.
My Experience
I have studied Childcare and Education at Kingston University, I have done the childminding course ‘CHIP’ and I studied to level 3 (CACHE) Childcare education. In 2010 I studied up to level 6 in Childcare and Education, and I obtained BA Hons in Education and Childcare at Kingston University in 2014. I have reset my Math and English GCSE in 2014 to have a current qualification in line with the Government guidelines ( this has allowed me to help with Children`s homework. I have experience looking after new born babies and twins and even triplets! In The setting I have children aged from 1 to age 8.
I enjoy working with children, I am passionate about bringing the child forward, seeing them thrive and grow happy and confident.
I love doing childcare in my home-based setting because I feel a smaller childcare setting is more beneficial to the child`s Personal Social Emotional Development.

My Availability
The setting is open Monday- Friday and outside hours for babysitting. Currently doing school drop off and pick up, Dovers Green and Sandcross School. I have a space available for a 12mth old - 3yr old. call for a visit.
