ABOUT ME:
Hello parents! My name is Bilkis Ahmed and I have been a child-minder since 2013, working across both Hackney and Waltham Forest. I am a Muslim British Bangladeshi woman and a mother of four. I am passionate about providing young children with a safe, stimulating and warm environment in which they can thrive. As a result of my determination to provide quality childcare, my setting has twice been graded "outstanding" by Ofsted in 2016 and 2020.
I am a trustworthy, responsible and reliable person who is affectionate towards children with the ability to build trust and good relationships with children and parents alike. I have a great understanding of different religions, cultures and ethnic groups due to the diverse range of people I interact with daily, which enables me to be open minded and flexible about different ways of bringing children up and committed to equal opportunities.
Currently I have employed two friendly assistants with great interpersonal skills, both of which have suitability verification from OFSTED, DBS checks and hold valid First Aid certificates.
LOCATION:
My location is very convenient as I have a number of facilities within walking distance, giving children the opportunity to socialise with others whilst learning new skills and develop knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
YOUR CHILD'S DAY:
A typical child’s day will always include both indoor and outdoor structured activities and a care routine for younger children. Time is also set aside for physical and free play, with a range of toys and equipment to stimulate imagination, challenge your children and encourage independence in learning.

HOURS OF BUSINESS: Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 6.00pm
Ability to provide after school pickups from Riverley Primary School, Willow Brook Primary School and George Mitchell Primary School.

My now 3 year old was under Bilkis’s care from 9 months of age up until 2.5 years. She offers a homely and loving setting but with a very professional approach. Kids arrived and left happily every day - always a good sign! Our son had no trouble settling into a large nursery afterwards as he had hit all the important milestones and in fact exceeded some of the targets for a toddler his age. Bilkis was a great teammate to work with to give our son the best start to learning and life and we are in fact hoping she will have space to look after our second child next year!
