About Me
I have been working as a childminder for the past 11 years from our large family house next to Tooting Common London SW17.
I have also started tuition in English with primary school children preparing for either verbal reasoning tests or English papers in Common Entrance Exams.
I love working with babies and preschool children and provide a loving, fun and stimulating environment with an emphasis on developing through play, lots of outside activities and interaction with other children, music,stories, creativity and healthy food.
I also enjoy helping older children gain confidence academically.
We have a 12 year old daughter at school locally and I have 2 adult sons who have left home.We also have a friendly cat!
We have a spacious garden with a large trampoline,lots of inside space and a wide variety of toys, books and equipment.
We make full use of the common and local playgrounds, baby & toddler groups and music groups to make your child's experience as fun and fulfilling as possible.
I feel passionate about the importance of warm, enthusiastic and intelligent caregiving for children from the outset.
I aim to provide long term care - many of the children I have looked after have been with me from when they are small babies right the way up to nursery school and beyond.
We are near several bus stops, are 19 minutes walk from Tooting Bec tube and there is free parking outside.
My Experience
My oldest children are grown up so I have extensive personal experience of raising children. I started childminding professionally in 2008 and have excellent references from the parents of the twenty different children I have childminded in that time.
My background is completely different! After studying English Literature at Cambridge I qualified as a Solicitor and did legal work for many years - firstly in private practice then in Television production.
I took voluntary redundancy from the BBC just before our daughter was born and looked for a more personally rewarding career that I could carry out from home.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Development;
Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate;
Certificates in Early Years Foundation Stage Themes & Areas of Learning & Development; Child Protection; Health & Safety; Basic Food Hygiene; Risk Assessment.
Law Sociey Solicitors Finals;
M.A. in Law, Cambridge University.
My Availability
I am available from 8.00am to 6.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Other days or times are by individual arrangement.
I expect to have a vacancy in September 2020.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
I have a daily rate of £75 which includes all meals but excludes nappies, wipes and formula.
