Free night of fun and specialised childcare for parents of SEND children

We are offering parents of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities children (SEND), a free night of specialised childcare and a night of all-expenses paid fun on a night of their choice!

We want you to nominate fantastic parents who deserve to let their hair down – gifting them £200 to cover their night out and childcare. It is completely up to the winning parents what they do, whether that be a night on the town, a fancy dinner or a trip to the cinema.

They will also receive a year’s free Childcare.co.uk Gold membership, so they can find a qualified and registered childcare professional in their area. Three winners will be selected at random from the UK. We have more than 21,000 babysitters with special needs experience and with the Gold membership you’ll be able to message providers directly, easy peasy!

Fill out the below form to nominate, you will need to provide background information on the family and some details on the child/children’s condition along with any other children who need to be cared for.

All submissions need to be in by Monday 20th November and there are no geographical limitations as long as the family live in the UK!

Very often the needs of SEND children can be such that parents don’t take any time out for themselves, and we wanted to change that. We hope by offering a free night of childcare to these parents, they will be able to let their hair down with the knowledge their kids are being well looked after by a specialist child carer.

“We think this is a great initiative, and hopefully by making it as easy as possible for the winning parents to go out and have fun, they will see that it’s OK for them to let their hair down. It’s also a lovely feeling to know that your friends and family have nominated you and that they support and acknowledge the hard work you put in day-in and day-out as a parent.”

Winners Announced

Thank you to everyone who nominated a special person who looks after children with SEND, for a free night of childcare and an all expenses paid fun night of their choice. We received over 1000 nominations in total.

Rick Knight in our Customer Support Team was given the tough task of choosing the three winners. Here's a short message from him:

“We are so grateful to everyone who has taken time out of their day to nominate someone who they know goes above and beyond for their SEND children. It was an incredibly hard task choosing between over a thousand worthy people who put their children first to their own detriment. I read every nomination and I was taken aback by the love and care parents give to their children to give them the best life they can have.

I have a brother who has Down's Syndrome and is severely disabled so I can relate to each and every one of you who do such a good job.”
