Hello, my name is Claire and I stay in Kingswells, Aberdeen with my husband, Keith and 3 children. I aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all children and their parents/carers.

My Experience
I have been childminding for nearly 10 years and I have also gained my experience from looking after my 5 children, (2 boy & 3 girls) Their age currently ranges from 8 months to 22 years old. I have also had experience working within nurseries whilst living in the Middle East and during my studies at Grays School of Art I was a class room assistant at Loirston Primary School, Cove.
My Qualifications
- Safe & Secure: Child Protection - Completed October 2020
- SCMA course induction to childminding - Completed June 2013
- Child Carers Emergency First Aid Course - Completed June 2020 (valid for 3years)
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety - Completed June 2020

We were lucky enough to have Claire care for our 2-year-old while our regular childminder was on maternity leave, and I can honestly say she was an absolute gem.
From the very beginning, my little one felt safe, happy, and completely at ease in her care. He quickly bonded not just with her, but with her lovely family too — he would come home full of stories, smiles, and excitement about his day. It was clear he was thriving in her nurturing and playful environment, and as a parent, that kind of peace of mind is priceless.
Leaving was genuinely hard for us. We were sad to say goodbye and often found ourselves wishing we could have stayed longer. The warmth, structure, and joy she brought to our son’s days made a lasting impression on all of us.
Even after our time with her ended, she continued to be incredibly supportive — especially when our original childminder let us down. She went out of her way to help us, showing just how much she cares about the families she works with.
We would highly recommend Claire to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and truly special childminder. She gave our son a safe and loving space to grow, and we’ll always be grateful for the time we spent with her.

Claire is such an outstanding childminder. She is lovely and my child just loves going to her place. She keeps children occupied with a lot of activities, from painting and crafting to baking, There is so little time for TV and more for reading and singing and playing!
She is doing great with communicating with children and teaching them numbers and letters and body parts. We don't speak English at home, but my child picked up so many English words by now from Claire and the other kids!
Her place is a very warm and welcoming environment and so is her family!
I would recommend Claire to everyone, she is just great.
