Qualified Nanny with over 17years Nanny experience, Excellent References, avaliable on Request. Twin and Newborn Experience, available for babysitting, and nannying.
I am originally from Winchester, and studied at Basingstoke College Of Technology. I qualified in July 2003, and gained a CACHE Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and Education.
I went in to my first nanny job, within a week of finished my college course, I was a full time live in nanny, looking after twins of 11months. I really enjoyed this position, the family were very nice and the children were great. I was at this position for just over 1yr.
My next position was as a part time nanny looking after three children, 3yr old and twins of 11 months. I really enjoyed this position, the children are great and the family are really nice. I stayed at this position for 3yrs, i had to leave as the mum was expecting another baby and did not require a nanny as was going to stop working. I was very sad to leave, but still visit the children when I can.
As the nanny job was part time I also worked as a nursery nurse, this was a very different position from the nanny jobs that I held, and it was good to see the variety of childcare. Overall I preferred to work as a nanny, as I like to work one on one with the children and help them develop.
After leaving my long term nanny position, I then got another nanny job, this also part time, looking after 2 children, 3yrs and 10months. This nanny position was set in a lovely little village, and was nice as there was lots of outside space to take the children to. The family and the children were really nice family. I left here after just over a year, as I was relocating to Devon.
When I arrived in Devon, I was suprised at the lack of nanny jobs around, it was very different from Hampshire.
I took a job as a Playleader for an after school club, I really enjoyed this position as it dealt with older children, all school age and up to this point I had only really looked after younger children. Unfortunately I had to leave this position as the job was only after school so was not really enough hours.
In Feb 2010 I found a nanny job, and was lucky enough to get offered the position, and is looking after 3 children, 4yrs, 1yr, and a baby that was expected end of March 2011.
The family lived on a really big farm, and I loved working in this position, the children are great and the family really nice, I left end of November and relocated back to Hampshire again. I have been here for a year and a half, I was very sad to leave, as have gained a close bond with the children, especially the youngest, that I have cared for since the day he was born.
Job in January 2012 looking after 2 children. boy 3 and girl 9mnths. My duties were to provide care, for the children. To take child to Nursery and toddler groups. Also provide fun and stimulating activities, promoting their development. I unfortunately had to leave this position as my boss lost her job, so was very sad to go.
Job in July 2012 . Looking after 2girls. 3yrs and 1year. My duties are to take them to nursery and other regular groups. Arrange playdates with other children. And help them with their development, with fun and educational games/activities. Had to leave this position after two years as they were relocating to London.
Job November 2014. Looking after 3 children. 3yrs and Twins of 11months. My duties are to take the 3 year old to nursery and regular activities. Encourage the babies to develop with walking, and talking. Take the babies to regular toddler sensory sessions. Also regular visits to the farm with the children. Left this position in June 2016, as had my little boy and they no longer need a nanny as children all off to school/ nursery.
Job April 2017. Monday to Wednesday plus Thursday mornings Looking after 2 children. 8months and 4yrs. They both had dairy allergies so had to cook meals and provide food to fit their dietary requirements. (Also bring my little boy 2 days )
Please note I have 2 children. 4yr old who starts Barton Stacey Primary School in September, and a 4month old ( who I'd be looking to bring with me)
I am a very outdoors person and love to get the children outside anytime possible. We also love to get messy and creative with messy play/art. I also love to bake with the children and have lots of fun making various things.
I have excellent references, References available on request.

Jemma joined our family in November 2014, when our twins Teddy and Ellie were almost 1 and Isla was 2 1/2 years. She was with us for 18 months until I left my job to be home with the children, which coincided with Jemma going on maternity leave in July to start a family of her own.
This was the first time we have hired a Nanny and therefore we weren’t sure what to expect or how it might feel to have someone else in our house and looking after our children. With Jemma, we never needed to worry about this. She has always been considerate and never once did it feel uncomfortable. She has also been very respectful to the way in which we want to bring up our children, working with us as a team to help instill values that are important to us, such as good table manners, looking after and tidying up toys etc.
Jemma has been an absolute pleasure to have as an employee and as extended member of our family. She is trustworthy, reliable, organised and above all committed to the children in her care.
Having responsibility for 3 children all under 3 years is a fairly tough assignment, but Jemma brought calm and order to our household. She always had everything under control, with her days well planned, menus considered and activities arranged for the children. Jemma would often come into work having done some preparation in her personal time, to do activities or classes with the children. On special occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays etc., she would always make cards and gifts with them, which really added a special touch. Also, if there was an issue we were struggling with e.g potty training, dropping the afternoon nap etc. Jemma would take the time to research and look into ways in which we might be able to find solutions. This showed just how much she cared and how serious she took her responsibility as a Nanny.
Finally the biggest testament to Jemma’s capabilities as a carer for children is just how much ours love her. Even 6 months on from leaving our family, she is still regularly talked with great fondness and she has left a big imprint on our family. I would recommend Jemma wholeheartedly to any parent, but especially so if you are looking for someone who is loving and calm, someone to bring order to chaos and someone who’s utmost priority it to nurture the children in her care.
Jemma has been with our family for nearly two years, looking after our two girls (now 4.5 and nearly 3) as well as keeping an eye on dogs and household!
Jemma has a wealth of experience and applies the right balance of patience and good humour, discipline and creativity, to manage everything from the most extreme toddler tantrum to happy days out playing. She has worked long days in sole charge, being responsible for every aspect of the children's care: breakfast, lunch and tea, getting them dressed, off to school/nursery, playdates, activities, bath and bedtime. She has been reliable and conscientious and a safe pair of hands. We are only having to say goodbye to her because of a change in our circumstances.
Jemma worked for us, looking after our 2 children, from April 2008 to May 2009. She is a very quiet but competent nanny, she loved taking the children out to places, and was always baking and cooking with the children. Very delicious things. We were sad when Jemma told us she was relocating to Devon, but we were also happy for her. She is very reliable, trustworthy and very good at her job.
