Paisleya
Nanny in Uxbridge (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
My name is Paisley, and I have over 15 years of childcare experience. I began babysitting at the age of 16, which developed into part-time after-school childcare while I was at university. Since then, I have worked as an au pair and now as a professional nanny.
I have experience caring for children from as young as two months through to 12 years of age. For the past three years, I have worked as an emergency nanny with families across London. This role has given me extensive experience with children under five, and I am confident and comfortable caring for babies, including supporting them in establishing gentle routines.
My roles have typically included school drop-offs and pick-ups, escorting children to extracurricular activities, assisting with homework, nappy changing, organising and maintaining play areas, preparing nutritious meals, reading with children, and managing bedtime routines.
As the eldest of four children, I naturally developed a strong sense of responsibility from an early age. I was also raised abroad in Hong Kong, which has given me valuable exposure to different cultures and environments.
I am a child-focused, down-to-earth, honest, and reliable individual who takes great pride in providing high-quality care tailored to each child and family. I am always happy to answer any questions and discuss how I can best support your family.
My Experience
My childcare career began at home, where I took on significant caregiving responsibilities for my three younger siblings while my parents worked. This early experience laid a strong foundation for my professional journey in childcare.
My first paid role was as a babysitter for a family with six-year-old twins. After relocating for university, I continued working with children by providing wraparound care for local families, including school pick-ups and transporting children to extracurricular activities. During this time, I was also actively involved in university outreach programmes, supporting “University Days” for local school children and helping to introduce them to higher education opportunities.
Following university, I spent three months working at a children’s resort in New Hampshire, USA. In this role, I cared for children of varying ages and supervised a wide range of outdoor and adventure-based activities, including zip-lining, football, archery, kayaking, and team games, ensuring both safety and engagement.
Upon returning to the UK, I worked briefly as a live-in au pair for a family with two children aged five and three. This experience helped me determine that a live-out arrangement was better suited to my working style. In 2018, I joined a full-time family with two boys aged eight and ten, which introduced me to supporting children with autism. I remained with this family for two years, gaining valuable experience in neurodiversity, routine-based care, and emotional regulation, before leaving due to a change in family circumstances.
From 2020 to the present, I have worked as an emergency nanny through an agency, supporting hundreds of families across London and the surrounding areas. This role has provided extensive experience with children from as young as two months old through to early childhood. I am highly adaptable, confident stepping into new environments at short notice (often with less than 24 hours’ notice), and capable of meeting a wide range of family needs.
In 2025, I completed a non-medical maternity nurse course with NEST, further strengthening my skills and deepening my interest in working with newborns and postnatal families.
I am deeply passionate about my career and consistently provide high-quality, attentive care. My experience includes newborn care, weaning, toilet training, emotional regulation, planning and delivering stimulating age-appropriate activities, and preparing healthy, nutritious meals. I am confident, reliable, and committed to supporting children’s development while providing reassurance and continuity for families.
