About Me

Young, vibrant and enthusiastic. My teaching approach is purely based on approved methods but with a fresh eyes approach. I am passionate about music and want to pass on my passion!

My Experience

Olivia is a determined young viola player. Her music career was established from a relatively late age (7) on piano, and soon after on the violin at 9. She studied at Wells Cathedral School from 2005-2009, progressing onto the viola in her final year (18) under Head of Strings, Matthew Souter. In 2011, she graduated with a french music diploma at the Ecole National de Musique in Lyon, learning with American professor Martha Benson. Olivia is a regular helper on the International music course Pro Corda and participant of Cadenza and the British Isles Music Festival, studying with Matthew Jones. She constantly enjoys the challenges and continuous opportunities that the RCM has in store for her having studied with Ian Jewel and now with Suzie Mezaros. This Summer Olivia has played under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington, as part of the BBC Proms concert series. She loves teaching and inspiring everyone who shares the same passion for music that she does.
