About Me
I have been married since 1977 and have 3 daughters, 4 grandsons and 2 grand daughters. I have been registered for more than 40 years and my girls have all followed me into working with children...2 are teachers and the other one is also a child minder. I have one room in my home dedicated to the children where there are sofas, a table and stools. I have a very wide range of books, games, toys and craft items. I have a lovely garden with 3 different areas. I have a fenced in play area with a climbing frame, slide and swing all on play bark. I also have an area that can be used for ball games. I have an enclosed back garden ideal for all children to use. I have a first aid and a level 2 food hygiene certificate and have completed several online courses via PACEY during lock down. I volunteer in the local school and have, in the past, been an MSA there. My hours are 7.30am to 6.15 pm. I had my Ofsted inspection in September 2023 where I retained my Good grade.
My Experience
I am a very experienced childminder and have looked after many children and keep in touch with all of my minded children of which the eldest is 44! The children I mind stay with me for many years and I can mind them when they go onto secondary school.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ Level 2 and Level 3.
I have an A Level in Sociology
I have O Levels in English Language, English Literature, Economics, General Science. Human Biology. I also have a Level 3 NVQ in childcare.
My Availability
I have some availability for drop off and pick up at my local school. Please contact me to discuss your needs. I only do wrap around at Highover JMI and Nursery School Hitchin Herts. I offer holiday cover Monday to Friday, please ask for any ad hoc care. Thank you

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.25 per hour
My fees vary from £6.25 per hour depending on the number of hours and days care is required. My costs include food. I am registered with several child care voucher companies and I offer child care tax free payments too. I’m also able to offer the extra 15 hour Government free hours But I can only pick up from Highover JMI and Nursery.
