About Me
Welcome to My Childminding Setting
Hello, my name is Ana Paula, and I am a fully registered childminder based in Castleford. After spending two years in Leeds with my 17-year-old son, I am delighted to be back in the Castleford community. My home is conveniently located within walking distance of local schools, making it ideal for families in the area.
I have over 20 years of experience working in childcare, including childminding, nursery work, and supporting children’s learning and development. I am passionate about creating a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
My setting is warm, bright, and welcoming. I provide high-quality childcare where children can learn, explore, play, and grow with confidence. I follow the EYFS framework to support each child's individual development, ensuring they feel valued, challenged, and supported.
I use the full downstairs area of my home for childminding, including a dedicated playroom filled with a wide variety of resources suitable for all ages. I also have a secure, small-sized garden where children can enjoy outdoor play throughout the year.
To enrich their experiences, we regularly visit local playgroups, libraries, parks, museums, cinemas, and soft play centres. These activities help children build social skills, confidence, and a love for learning.

My Experience
I have more than 20 years of childcare experience. I’ve worked in a nursery, done babysitting, taught English abroad in two countries, and spent 13 and a half years as a childminder.

My Availability
I have 2 full-time places available for those under 3's
and 2 full time under 5’s
I work Monday to Friday – 7:00am to 6:00pm (I can do extra hours if needed)
I can offer drop off and collect from local schools

My son has been going to Ana's for the last four years after school. He have a fantastic relationship with her and all the other children who attend her setting. Ana goes above and beyond for you, she is a lovely person and I feel very happy leaving my son with her.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder.
