Marie is quite simply a fantastic childminder. She took care of my son in 2018-2019 and then also my daughter from 2023-2025. With both of them they started with her when they were only 11 months old. It’s very daunting to leave your child with someone when they are that young but in no time at all it was clear how much my children enjoyed going to Marie’s house. Marie creates a caring, fun and educational environment and showers the children with attention. It’s lovely for children at that age to spend time in a quieter environment than nursery with great sleeping arrangements for naps and a routine that worked for my children rather than then having to fit in with a nursery’s routine. Marie’s great at planning activities and knows all the best places to go in the area from childminder only playgroups to soft plays to trips to the zoo. She spent a lot of time reading with my daughter and has really helped to develop her love of books and puzzles. She also ensures children are well fed with homemade food. My daughter affectionately calls her ‘Granny’. We are so sad to leave but I know we will continue to see Marie regularly and my daughter will always look forward to seeing ‘Granny’ :)
