About Me
My name is Katie and I have lived in Andover for 24 years. I am married with 2 children who are 7 and 12. I loving being a Mum :+)
I have been in childcare for the last 30 years as a Nanny mainly, but also in a creche, a nursery and a preschool, looking after our 2 lovely God children, as well as being a say at home mum to my two which I felt very lucky to be able to do. I feel very privileged to be part of a child story as they grow, helping them to have fun through learning and making every day an adventure.
In my free time I also enjoy walking, swimming, reading, exploring new places, listening to music and socialising with my friends.
I attend my local C of E Church most Sundays and lead Sunday school once a month, where I enjoy being a part of a community.
My Experience
I studied at Guildford college of further education in 1993 and in 1995 gained a NNEB Diploma.
Since then, I have worked with a number of families, staying with each one for around 3 years, and have looked after 22 children from when I qualified till when our Son was born. The smallest baby I have looked after is 3 months, up to 10 years. I have always adored working with children and have felt very privileged to be a part of each child's life, supporting the families I have worked alongside, and helping the children to work hard and play lots, helping to develop their personalities to be happy and confident children.
