About Me
H, I’m Emily! I work part time as a Support Worker and also run my own charity in Uganda. I’ve volunteered at a babies’ home in Uganda since 2015 and even lived in Uganda for 2.5 years during the Covid-19 pandemic. I visit Uganda several times a year but would love to do some ad-hoc babysitting when I’m home in the Uk! I enjoy cooking, being outdoors, swimming, dancing and musical activities. I’m a Brownie leader and I am a people person, I love to spend time with others!
My Experience
• Currently work as a Support Worker with adults with learning disabilities.
• Extensive voluntary work at Sanyu Babies’ Home in Uganda looking after babies from 1 day to 5 years old, in particular helping out in the school organising sensory and messy play, and creative activities and looking after children with additional needs.
• Work as a teaching assistant in a special school.
• Many years ad-hoc babysitting and several different regular nanny / babysitting jobs.
• Voluntary work at Special Schools, Brownies, and Church.
My Qualifications
• 10 GCSE's, 3 A-levels and the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification.
• Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards
• Grade 7 violin
• DBS certificate
• 2:1 in Psychology at Aberystwyth University.
My Availability
When I am not in Uganda, I am generally available most weekday evenings and some weekdays / weekends depending on what shifts I am working. I am an organised person and like to plan my time well so can be flexible if given enough notice!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
Willing to negotiate but generally £12 an hour for 1 child, £15 an hour for multiple children or work after 11pm.
