About Me
Outstanding Registered Childminder, in 4 inspections 2006, 2010, 2016 and 2022. I am married to Stephen and we have 2 beautiful daughters aged 29 & 27. With Over 30 years of experience caring for children, my goal is to ensure that all children are cared for as if they were my own. I ensure that all children have care,stimulation and love.
I enjoy Tap Dancing and perform in shows at the Point in Eastleigh. These shows include "42nd Street", "Hairspray, Annie and "Chicago".
I also enjoy many craft activities, such as glass painting, stamping, tie dye, cake baking and decorating, jewellry making etc. I have also done a "silversmith" course. Many of these activities can be altered so the children within my care can benefit from this experience.
We regularly attend many childminding groups, outing etc. These can vary from wellie walks in the woods, to country parks such as Victoria Country Park & Itchen Valley. We have visits to the sea/beach such as leap Beach, Lee on solent and Bournemouth Beach. We venture further afield such as the New Forest, Watercress Line, Beaulieu etc. We have visited Water Mills, Rivers, stables, gardens and the New Forest Show. The children really enjoy these outings, and I have stacks of photo albums which are all dated.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for nearly 25 years. I have previously been an au-pair in the USA (which I still have contact and visits with the family).
I am an active member of the Ncma, offering help and guidance within this field. I am the local support childminder for the Sure Start Centre in Fair Oak on the Wyvern Campus - Little Coppice. Another role within the Ncma is a Support Childminder for newly registered childminders and also those who need extra guildance.
I have also gained the Top Grade in my 3 Ofsted inspections:
