One of the best in Watford
Our daughter started her journey with Little Nestling back in the summer of 2023, just after she turned one, and has remained in Charlotte’s amazing care ever since. We chose Little Nestlings for its home from home setting, wrap around care hours, age/development related toys and activities and regular day trips exploring wonderful parts of Watford/Hertfordshire that any child would love.
The setting for Little Nestlings is warm, friendly, engaging and filled with love. Our daughter has simply thrived with Charlotte and her bubbly personality is in part due to her being able to play, explore and engage with other toddlers and young children. Charlotte has been wonderful and nurturing from day one and welcomed our daughter with kindness and care; the environment has helped from just crawling and wearing nappies to climbing like a monkey at playgrounds and using the toilet confidently.
There’s too much to list of what my daughter has experienced and celebrated but to list a few include learning about her other friends’ cultures, Remembrance Sunday, Seasons, endless nursery rhymes, Sports Day, sponsored walks, Children in Need, Conkers, feeding birds, local library, Tescos, bird watching and how to open a canal lock. She’s visited farms, Elstree Aerodrome, 100 Acre Woods, Cheslyn House and Garden, Leavesden Country Park, Aquatic centres and pet shops, Garden Centres, watched a film in the cinema – not to mention celebrating every Nestling’s birthday (with a pizza and cake combo!), Mother’s/Father’s day, Halloween and of course Christmas!
Charlotte proves great feedback at the end of every session (you always hope they eat lunch and are well behaved – and they do most days!) and shares a range of photos of her adventures that day with her friends. Every so often Charlotte provides a development report on their progress and what to expect over the next few months. Charlotte has been wonderful in terms of pick up and drop off times, even accommodating changes a day or hours before due to work restraints or illness.
Our journey with Little Nestling is coming to an end soon and we’re not ready for the change as Charlotte has been the only constant throughout the toddler years and it’s going to be a difficult change for my daughter but mainly for us as parents to get used to. We’d loved listening to all our daughter’s stories at the end of the day during dinner and looked back fondly at the number of shoes she’s had to go through, as she’s travelled many, many miles in them because of Charlotte.
We couldn’t be more pleased for all the support and guidance we received as new parents. It’s been a blessing. And if it’s not obvious, we could not recommend Little Nestlings enough!
