i'm a highly trained psychologist affiliated strongly with the world of arts especially performing arts/ theatre. I hold a Mphil in philosophy of art. My goal is to expand the idea of babysitting/tutoring and not limit it to a daily routine job that just follows a leaflet. I want to educate kids and make them develop critical thinking which I find is missing from the new generations. Children should be able to form opinions about everything and learn to engage into dialectics that is the reason I’m very keen on bringing philosophy back in education. I often use p4c ( the philosophy for children new program) to work towards that goal.
My experience and studies in performing arts and cinema have given me the opportunity to work with children and help them learn and comprehend abstract words and meanings through performative speech and theatre. I've participated in a lot of art groups, especially art therapy and a lot of courses on teaching methods.
I am now finishing my masters in special education . I have a lot of experience working with Sen children especially in the autistic spectrum. I manage to build a rapport with my students very quickly and know how to approach them and adapt to their learning pace which is very important .
I’m very creative and I play the guitar.
I love cinema, poetry and reading in general . I always try to implement all these to my teaching methods, making lessons or baby sitting more interesting and educational.
I have worked at many primary schools from early years to year 6 as a TA
Now Im working towards my qts to become a teacher

Emily aged 8 said:
I think Yiota is the best babysitter ever. She loves playing Harry Potter games. She is very friendly and she is the best.
Yiota picks Emily up from school one evening a week and takes her to swimming club and then brings her home, babysitting until we return home later. She is a very reliable and flexible person. Yiota clearly has considerable experience with primary aged children and is able to build a good rapport quickly, maintain safety and security whilst offering a degree of independence.
I would strongly recommend Yiota as a babysitter/ after school nanny and would be happy to speak to any prospective families if this would be helpful.
