Ana's setting is the perfect home away from home for my daughter Leia as it is a very warm and attentive small group of 3 children. She is always vibrant and cheerful, caring and genuine.
My daughter joined after the first lockdown and having spent her early days with only my husband and I in lockdown (since we have no family in UK), she was a tough cookie to settle in a new environment. Ana took care to slowly ease her into the environment and put a lot of extra efforts to help my daughter feel comfortable. I know Ana had to hold her to sleep quite a few times in the first month during her lunch time as my daughter was just that attached to her and needed the constant reassurance.
It wasn't long after that that my daughter then started to really flourish in Ana's care, turning from a shy cry baby to a vibrant and brave little girl.
Ana feeds the kids well with nutritious meals, and provides healthy fruit snacks in between. She refreshes the toys at her setting regularly so its always interest and new for the kids. Leia is constantly engaged with activities, whether its at the local park, or singing and dancing at Ana's or is taken to drop-ins where she gets exposure playing with a bigger group of kids now that restrictions have lifted. I also love how Ana creates themed décor and activities for special occasions like Christmas and Easter so its exciting for the kids to enjoy the festivities.
Most importantly, she always focus on each child's needs and development, and provides valuable support at the various milestones, whether its walking, talking, independent dressing and potty training. For example, she noticed my daughter was interested in fine most skills when she was around 1 year old, and offered her suitable toys to foster that interest. And when she noticed that I'm anxious about my daughter's slow speech development at around 1.5years old, Ana calmed me down but at the same time will constantly talk and describe things to Leia to encourage her to pronounce sounds.
I have only good praise of Ana and am sad that we have to move and will no longer be able to go to her setting anymore.
