About Me
I am located near Wickford train station, at the bottom of station avenue. I have three children, a 3 year old, an 8 year old and an 11 year old who are at school.
I am a creative and outdoor person and I aim for the children I care for to get up in the morning and to ask their parent/ carer if they can go to Vikki's.
I have a large field to the side of my house and my own garden.
I believe as a childminder the children should feel the 'home to home' experience and ill meet the individual needs of each child as well as their parents/carer.
My 8 year old has a nut allergy so I am a nut free home.
My Experience
I have been in childcare for over 20 years now. I have worked in a variety of settings as well as a variety of positions in those settings. I have cared for children aged newborn - 12 years old.
I have worked in creches, day nurseries, mobile creches, I have managed creches and been a deputy.
I am now a mummy myself to my three children.
I am lucky to have a sister who is a nursery nurse and a mum who has been an OFSTED inspector and worked for the PLSA too. So childcare runs in the family.
March 2017 I had my first inspection and I received an OUTSTANDING
My Qualifications
I have a NVQ level 3 in childcare
I have a NVQ level 4 in childcare
I am first aid trained including pediatric
I have successfully completed a home based childcare course
I have completed a safeguarding children course
I have previously been attended courses in outdoor play, Makaton signing, Letters and phonics, risk assessments and many more.
I have an NVQ in animal care too
I have insurance for my car and home
I have registered with Data Protection
My Availability
Please contact me about my day time availability, but I will have two spaces available from the end of July as two children I care for will be starting their new journey at reception.
I operate from 7am-6:30pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.35 per hour
I charge an hourly rate and a minimum of 3 hours payment is required in any day i am needed.
My fee does include meals and drinks.
Any special outings maybe an additional fee.

Vikki has looked after my now 4 yr old daughter and during the holidays, my now 10yr old son for nearly 3 years. She has been fantastic, the children love going round there and occasionally have not wanted to leave. Days out at the park, woods, the beach, Vikki makes the most of all weathers and activities to match. Her teaching skills are brilliant and she also helped during potty and toilet training. I have had to rely quite a bit on Vikki over the past year with childcare and she was brilliant. A lovely, friendly , caring lady with a lovely family. My daughter did not need a settling in period, they hit off from the start!
Overall
Vikki has been looking after my 4 year old and 2 year old (4 afternoons a week) when I returned to work after a two-year break. I was a bit worried at first for my youngest as he had never been away from me but he settled in very quickly with no fuss - asking to go and see Vikki every time I strapped him in the car! Vikki has made this transition very smooth and she is a wonderful childminder, who clearly focuses and cares for the children’s needs. Vikki enjoys doing messy crafty activities, baking with the kids and she also has an allotment space, which is great for the kids! I felt truly blessed to have found Vikki as a childminder as she is pure gem!

Vikki has been our childminder for 2 months now (3 days per week) and I was very nervous at first about leaving our youngest son who was 18 months as it was the first time I had really left him with anyone outside of our family… but we have had no problems at all. Vikki arranged tester sessions so that my son got use to Vikki and her house and the other children there. My son loves Vikki and is always excited about going to see her! Vikki has made my return to work so much easier and I felt confident that my little boy was in good hands and feels at home at Vikki’s. Vikki provides me with a detailed home diary, which is lovely to see how my son has got on that day and what they have been up to. Our 5 year old is looking forward to the school holidays so he can also go to Vikki’s house to play as he knows how much fun our youngest has! Vikki has a very kind and clam manner, she always makes my son’s feel comfortable and safe.

Vikki has been our childminder for over a year and feels like part of our family.
I always feel confident leaving my little boy with her.
Vikki is very open and caring, she ensures that the parent is envolved in the care process and gets to have an input in activities and meal plans. The communication book is lovely so you can see exactly what they have been up to.
Vikki is very child focused and works with the children allowing them to on occasions choose there lunch and activities.
Vikki also takes the children out to interesting places like Hyde Hall, parks
Vikki works with the children towards a topic and working on their writing, counting, colours and all the skills they will need for school ensuring an educational environment.
The most important thing for me was that my son is happy to go to the childminder and enjoys the experience, I have absolutely no doubt that he loves going.
I would highly recommend Vikki as a childminder.

Vikki has been our childminder now for over 6months and I have to say she is the best childminder/childcare I have ever had for my children.
My 3 year old son spends 5days a week with Vikki, who also collects/drops him at his pre school. My son has such a great bond with Vikki and he is always excited to spend time with her. Vikki is always thinking of new topics and activities to do with the children and my son has learnt so much from her. The children also go on lots of different outings to places like Hyde Hall which is both fun and educational for them. They always learn lots of new things and come home so happy and excited to tell me about their day.
Vikki looks after each child in her care as if they were her own and this factor is very important to me. My son feels very safe with Vikki and he knows he can go to her if he is feeling sad, knowing she will comfort and care for him.
Vikki is a very caring, friendly and positive lady and this shows everyday.
My daughter also spends her Inset days in Vikki's care and she looks forward to these days so much!!
I could not recommend Vikki highly enough. She is absolutely great!!
