About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Windsor based Nanny, offering a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment with emphasis on learning through play. I find caring for children very rewarding and offer all children in my care encouragement, love and kindness, I find this helps children to be happy and confident.
I am a member of Morton Michel and hold relevant insurances.
I take the children to a music or playgroup every morning, we visit the numerous parks in Windsor and/or walk along the river and feed the ducks most afternoons. In the school holidays we sometimes travel a little further afield for lovely days out ie: Odds Farm, Saville Gardens, Black Park.
My Experience
In my current position, I work as an EY teacher at a nursery providing daycare for babies and children aged 9 months to 4 years, following the EYFS framework.
I have worked at the nursery for just over 2.5 years and have recently become disillusioned with the number of staff changes and thus inconsistencies with maintaining practises and procedures.
Previously I was a nanny to 2 school age children, providing before and after school care in term time, and full time care in school holidays, Monday to Friday.
The role evolved into more of a home help assistant due to the family’s lessening need for a nanny.
I was with this family for 3 years until the role became redundant as the family no longer needed help due to the children’s advancing teenage years.
In my previous position up until January 2016 I was a full time nanny to 3 children, 2 babies and 1 preschooler (Nanny share) 3 days a week, I commenced this position in June 2014, the position came to an end as one family relocated.
Previously I was a Childminder for many years, looking after up to 4 children each day of varying ages, I have completed my NVQ3 in Childcare Learning and Development. I am trained in paediatric first aid and I refresh this training every 3 years to keep my ofsted registration up to date.

Nikki has been nanny to our daughter for the last 12 months and she is the nearest real life equivalent to Mary Poppins you could hope to get. Nikki makes looking after 3 girls (2 toddlers and 1 pre-school) seem effortless. She is so capable, calm and assured at all times. She is such a safe pair of hands and copes with everything that 3 girls can throw at her (literally..). Nikki manages the children's diary with play, arts & crafts and fun days out. She is consistently punctual, reliable and honest.
Employing Nikki as part of a nanny share with our neighbours has surpassed our expectations. The shared costs make it affordable, but the flexibility of not having to worry about drop off and pick up times that you have at childminders or nurseries is a massive bonus for busy working parents.
Nikki is the best nanny you could hope to employ and we feel lucky that she already feels like part of the family with us, and our daughter idolises her.
Overall
Nikki has been Nanny to our two girls for the last 12 months and she is absolutely amazing - I cannot recommend her highly enough! We are moving from Windsor to Pinner to be closer to our children's Grandparents and we wish we could take her with us and we will really miss her :-)
When our second child came along we moved from a Childminder where we did drop off and pick-up everyday to a Nanny Share arrangement.
Nikki has looked after our two girls (4 & 1) and our neighbour's girl (1) and has so much experience as a previous Childminder that she manages everything with ease and keeps them active, going out lots in the Summer to a group with other child carers, doing crafts etc. . As both my husband and I work it has been the best of both worlds and gives us so much more flexibility, as Nikki always arrives on time and has been 100% reliable with not a single day missed in the past 12 months. Doing it as part of a Nannyshare has been ever better. Easy to Administer and it shares the cost with another family to keep things under control.
So in summary, she is the best Nanny one could hope for and the other family that are part of the Nannyshare are a really lovely family too, we are sorry to give this up but have many happy memories in Windsor and with Nikki as Nanny to our kids.
