Hi, my name is Alison. I am a fully insured registered childminder.
My aim as a childminder is to fill your child's day with fun and laughter, children in my care will develop and learn through play and exploration.
The children in my care will have a consistent routine from eating, sleeping, playing and going out during the day for some fresh air, to help them feel safe and secure.
I provide age appropriate activities for the children to enjoy and ensuring that they are happy at all times.
I have a large dedicated playroom with toys and activities for all ages and a large garden.
I also have an assistant who works with me which helps me to provide a more flexible service and helps with outings and activities.
Currently we have planned visits to our local care home. We have regular visits from the animals at Edens Garden. We also regularly visit our local libraries and parks and we have a music teacher visit at least twice per month and enjoy mini musicians sessions which the children adore.
My Experience
I've been a childminder for a few years now and I received excellent grades from my latest inspection.
I am a qualified Education Support Assistant and have an HNC in Early Education and Childcare.
I am currently studying the Bsc Childhood Practice Degree at Dundee University.
In the past I have been a Scout Leader and most recently a regular volunteer in my youngest child's school assisting in the nursery department and early years classes.
