About Me
Development focused nanny. Tutoring also available. I'm a former Primary School Teacher and trained Maternity Nurse. I am as flexible and adaptable as possible to meet the needs of the families I work with. I work in partnership with parents, and although happy to advise, will always follow their wishes.
My Experience
Professionally I have over 25 years childcare experience. I have been a nanny for several families, with both babies and toddlers. I have also worked with school aged children, up to 15 years old. I have worked with babies from 6 weeks old. Some of my nanny experience includes a nanny share with 2 babies from 9 months old. I have also been a night nanny for twin babies and home schooled a five year old.
I have been with my current family for nearly 4 years. As the family travel a lot I have adhoc availability, including weekends and over night.
I have 3 grown up children and 2 grandchildren so have plenty of additional expereince.
I offer a bespoke flexible, service. I Understand each family is unique and adapt care to match the families needs/wishes. I respect the families I work for and maintain confidentiality. I am a vegetarian with good knowledge of nutrition but am happy to cook some meat if desired. Can also readily cook vegan food.
Strong knowledge of child development, including the 4th trimester. I love sharing children's books, songs, games and creative activities led by the child's interests. I am able to support the Primary Curriculum and Early Learning Goals. Happy to take children out and about. Flexible and adaptable. Overnight care availability.
OFSTED registered. DBS and Paediatric First Aid and public liability insurance. References available on request.
My Qualifications
BA in Education Early Childhood Studies. PGCE (primary) QTS. Maternity Nurse Level 4.
My Availability
Am available most weekday mornings, and some weekends. Often available during state school holidays.

We would recommend Sue in a heartbeat! Sue looked after our pesky one year old for my first week back at work and he could not have been in better hands. Sue is warm, friendly and very flexible! We miss you already!
