Hi my name is Lesley I live in Ampthill, I have over 20 years experience working with young children. I would consider myself to be a warm approachable kind fun loving and trustworthy person.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about my working history to help you decide whether i could be the person to help you care for your child. I worked as a Qualified Nursery Nurse in a Day Nursery for five years straight from college, in this time being promoted to Senior Nursery Nurse. I left to start my own family.
I decided when my children started full time school i was ready to carry on my career in childcare. I became a Registered childminder in 2007, enjoying looking after some lovely children. I promoted a very Nurturing and caring environment offering ' home from home' experiences. ( I stopped working as a childminder in 2012). For the past 8 years I have been working for the local GP as a Nanny two days a week. From October 2015 I worked 2 half days as a mother's help.
Helping mum with premature baby and 4 year old, alongside household duties such as ironing, cleaning and cooking an evening meal. Mum has gone back to work now so I also nanny for this family too one day a week.
Due to the children I care for going off to school I now have some availability. I am an ofsted registered Nanny, ( I can accept childcare vouchers as payment) DBS checked and hold a current first aid certificate and food hygiene certificate.
Qualified Nursery Nurse, Ofsted registered Private Nanny
I'm not currently looking for work.

Lesley has been working with our family for just over 2 years, first as a mother's help and later as a nanny.
She cared for my younger child from newborn and was excellent. She has a lot of experience, both from her professional work but also from raising her own children. I have been able to trust her to do the best for my girls.
She is caring and kind, but also sets sensible limits. She was flexible with me as we worked out together how she could best support our family.
Our daughter has been with Lesley 1 day a week for a year now and she absolutely loves it. Even though she only sees Lesley once a week she is always very keen to get in the door.
She loves the time spent playing with all of Lesley's toys and playing with the other children at the toddler groups that Lesley takes her to.
Nothing is too much trouble for Lesley, she even does extra days for us occasionally which is great.
