Nana is committed to provided a homely, safe and engaging childminding provision. Both our children transitioned to Nana’s super easily, they loved it from day one and they felt like they have gained another family. Ellaine’s house is great - super clean, organised and has a fabulous garden where the children play for hours together. They love being in a home setting (especially at a young age) and she treats them like they are a part of her family. She give them so much love and reassurance alongside clear boundaries and high expectations.
Ellaine is so flexible and helpful. She never adds to our stress - she looks at how she can help our entire family and takes stress away from us.
She is extremely knowledgeable about child development and the early years but always listens to you and if you have any concerns. Our children have absolutely thrived with her. She keeps them safe, healthy and well fed. She has worked with us to develop our children’s social skills and speech. All the children in Nana’s care become so confident with their speech and love chatting away. She has developed their knowledge (colours, numbers, vocabulary etc) through crafts, trips in the local area and a wide variety of activities. She always knows what our children’s next steps are and works with them to develop these.
Nana is very much part of our family and has nurtured and given us so much care and love . We know that the children will grow up going to Nana’s and she has played a large role in the amazing toddlers they have both become.
Ellaine is extremely reliable and understands the stress presented to working parents. She has never closed during our time with her and always communicates holidays well in advance.

Ellaine/“Nanna” has taken care of our son for 3.5 years and our daughter so far now for 1.5 years.
The kids (and us!) love and respect her 100% and it really has felt like we are dropping our kids off to a family member. It really feels like she loves the kids as her own and shows them so much genuine love.
She is a great support to us parents too and has often gone out her way to help us.
We can’t recommend Ellaine enough

Our son went to Ellaine’s for three days, and then four days a week, from 10 months up until he was 2.5. He loved his time there and still says he would like to go visit! Ellaine’s care is nurturing and she takes a firm but fair approach. She has a great sense of humour, she is relaxed but offers advice, when needed, from all of her experience of having children, grandchildren and the many children she has been a childminder for. She cooks lovely homely meals and really understands each child’s needs and quirks! We highly recommend.

Rosalie stayed with Ellaine from 10months until 17months, I couldn’t have wished for a better childminder . She is always very calm and nurturing , she would give advice if I had questions. Food was always a success . In these weird times where we stayed
confined for months, without close family around , it felt that we had give Rosalie a sense of community by staying with Ellaine and we are forever grateful. Our only regret was to leave her as we moved to France . Merci & you’re always welcome here !

Ellaine looked after our son for just over a year from 3 until 4 years old. Her home is like a family home - because her grandchildren are often there, that makes it feel like a family setting. Ellaine is very caring but also has really clear boundaries, a good combination in my opinion. She understood our son’s needs and personality very quickly and he settled very quickly. It’s also great that she has outdoor space for the kids to play in. And our son quickly developed friendships with the other children.
My son still asks to go to Ellaine’s for visits, which is as good a recommendation as any!

The childcare provided by Ellaine is second to none, our little boy has been going to her home for 3 or 4 days a week since he was 10 months old. He is now a boisterous 18 month old who is thriving in the loving and caring environment provided by Ellaine. It is a real home away from home and he is so very very happy there. The activities, the home cooked meal, the great communication, and knowing just how well looked after he is made my transition from maternity leave back to work so easy. Our son runs to her front door in the mornings and is greeted by all his little friends which he has made there. We couldn't recommend Ellaine and the incredible service she provides highly enough. We can't believe how lucky we were to find her and will be using her for any futures babies we might have! A proper surrogate grandmother who is now party of our family as we feel part of hers!

Ellaine has been an incredible influence of love and stability for the development of our son. He’s 2yrs 5months and has been going to Ellaine’s nearly full time since he was 19months. To entrust this responsibility to someone is huge. Ellaine really does love the kids and keeps them in line. She gets new toys for the kids and comes up with activities for them. Finally, the backyard has a slide with a paddling pool at the bottom when it’s hot in summer - [my son has just informed me when I asked what he likes at Ellaine’s]

Our 3 year old daughter has been with Ellaine for almost a year, and it has been such a great time for us all. Ellaine has been like a grandmother to her, and we have been so happy leaving her in Ellaine's care. Ellaine looks after the children at her family home, and they are all treated like members of the family. She is extremely caring and loving to the kids, who all adore her. She often takes them on trips to playgroups, farms, and the local museum. They are also always doing fun activities like making their own pizzas or crafting and painting. Ellaine's home is full of toys and she has a lovely garden, in the nicer weather the kids get to play in her paddling pool. She is also really helpful, she even took my daughter to get her haircut recently as I couldn't get to a hairdressers. My daughter loves going to Ellaine's and we will be so sad when we have to change childcare provider when we move house in a month or so. We recommend her highly! Thank you Ellaine for looking after our daughter so well, we are all going to miss you!

Ellaine has looked after our little boy since he was 9 months old (he's almost two now) and we couldn't be happier to have her as our childminder. She provides a home from home environment, her house is always clean, tidy and welcoming, with a lovely family atmosphere. There is a fantastic garden out the back that is specially kitted our for the children and I sometimes have to drag our boy out of the garden at the end of the day as he has so much fun there. Ellaine takes them out most days to playgroups, Victoria park, the Museum of Childhood and to the Library. I always feel confident leaving my son in the mornings as I know that he will be cared for in a loving and supportive environment which is evident by the happy boy that I return to at the end of the day. She also offers overnight care which is fantastic for us having limited family in the city and knowing that he is in a familiar environment and with someone that he trusts. We really feel that our son has thrived in her care and we couldn't recommend her enough.

Our daughter has been with Ellaine for 2 years since she was 1.5 yrs. We have been delighted with her care. Ellaine provides a loving and fun family environment for the children and always plans great activities and trips out. In the Summer her garden is great and Emi has spent many happy days playing outside. Ellaine is flexible and makes being a working mum super easy, I don't have to worry about anything when Emi is in her care and she is a great communicator. We would highly recommend Ellaine!
