Not on time for interview

Reviewed

We were supposed to meet today at 5:30pm
She texted me 5:16 pm saying she will be around another 30 mins late. I suggested to rearrange as I have plans later.
She replied as below :
I'm sorry but no, I can't. You knew we were meeting today at 5.30 and you are cancelling the meeting at 5.17. You could've told me earlier. You are not giving me much trust for future babysitting jobs...

I don't know what others might think of this , but I can not stand people who are even not on time for an interview , meaning ......
even more ! When I told her know she claim for future trust ?! Thanks for reminding me .
What are the kids thinking now days ,who is the one waning for jobs ?

Dear families,

I´ve been registered in this website for 2 years now and I´ve worked for so many famlies who will give you good reviews about me. This is my first negative review and I cannot express with words how hurt and sad I feel with it, as this is not what happened...

This woman contacted me for ocasional babysittings and I told her I was available, so we decided to meet on Monday 4th of Sept. She asked me for a 3 hour trial during the morning, but as I´m currently working in a school, we rearranged it for the afternoon. So that was what I was expecting, a 3h trial. But as I said before, I´m currently working in a school and because we had a last moment meeting, I was running a little bit late. So when I took the tube, I wrote her (as I felt it was my obligation) to aplogise and tell her I was going be 15 minutes late.
This is what she exactly answered at 5.17pm (we were meeting at 5.30)

hi
i´m sorry can you come another day
as I have a dinner plans

She knew I was travelling quite a long way (from Acton to Kennsington) only to meet her after beeing working the whole day and her only explanation was that "I have only planed 15mins for this interview. By the time you are here I need to leave the house" .

I´m not a kid, as she is saying, I´m a 28 years old woman. I´m a qualified and experienced teacher, currently working in a school, proffesional and responsible. I have worked so many times with families I met in this website and in my every day life, and nobody ever had a complain about me. And above all, I´m a person. So not because I am a babysitter, looking for a job as she said, should be treated like that. We need to trust the families we work for as much as these famlies needs to trust the babysitters. I know that my answer wasn´t the most apropiate one either, but this is not the first time that this happens to me and is quite hard sometimes not to reply. I apologise about that.

But for those families that still think I could be a trustful nanny/babysitter, please don´t hesitate in contact me. I can send you great references as well as my DBS check and First Aid trainning. I just hope that this review wont make you see me as something I am not.

Hoping that you will understand my position,

Janire
