About Me
Hello, I am a registered childminder in the whitchurch area of cardiff. I am registered under the conditions of the care standards of Wales. My own children are grown up and living away from home. My husband I live in a three bedroom semi with a good sized garden. I have been childminding here for 30 years and take pride in running a stimulating, fun, friendly and very safe environment for both boys and girls from the age of 3months to high school years. The children in my care tend to be long term and I delight in them feeling they are part of the family.
My Experience
I have been registered since my son was very young, now 32 years of age.In these years I have cared for lots of children and helped parents encourage their children to learn, play together, and enjoy their time in a stimulating and caring environment. I have experience working with children with extra health and educational needs, and always strive to work with parents and teachers to help each child reach their full potential. I have experience working with deaf children and other medical conditions. I take pride in knowing that the families who leave me do so for reasons other than my quality of care, and will happily give written and verbal references.

My Availability
I currently run my business monday to Friday, 7.45 am to 5.30 pm
I do wrap around care for whitchurch primary school.

I have known Dawn for at least 9 years and both our kids have been to her.She is extremely kind, organised and lovely to kids.My daughter who attends the local primary school is always happy and keen to go to Dawn which is probably the best feedback. Dawn is always reliable and to-date we have never had a single issue with her. The house is always spotless and clean and kids are always kept well entertained. I would whole heatedly recommend Dawn

I have known Dawn for nearly 10years,she has looked after both my children,older one till the age of 12 and my younger one started going to Dawn since age of 3months old and continues to go.The children who go to Dawn are very happy and contended.My 15year old still stops by to have a quick chat and always informs her any important events/achievements in his life.I initially had seen Dawn during school pick ups and was so impressed with her care given to the children which is when I requested her to be my childminder.Dawn always ensures that children are brought up in a very stimulating environment and takes them out to various activities including indoor and outdoor plays.They always participate in lot of group activities providing a very happy environment.There is ample garden space with swings for other equipment for children to play.Wide variety of toys are provided to cater for different age group. Children feel very much at home and feel free to talk and discuss anything with her.Without having any family living nearby I have always considered Dawn as my extended family and have relied on her support on many occasions.
Dawn has also got a wonderful family all of whom are very good with the children and a very good reflection of her care is her children who are great individuals.
I cannot recommend Dawn enough for anyone looking for a childminder as she provides exceptional care to the little ones and helps them grow in a very happy,safe and stimulating environment.
