Hi! My husband and I have 3 lovely teenage children. I really enjoy spending time with my family at home and having days out altogether! I like listening to music and reading. I am looking for a job as a nanny, preferably part time. I am happy to work at short notice and I don't mind strange hours!
After getting my NNEB childcare qualification, I started my career doing temporary nanny jobs looking after children from birth to 3. I really enjoyed working in a home environment and planning activities and trips out during the day, even if it was just a walk to the park! Then I worked for an agency in a nursery setting, to cover maternity leave. I spent the following 23 years working in 2 local primary schools. I worked in our local village school for 20 years with reception children. During this time my husband and I raised our 3 lovely children, which I guess is where I gained most childcare experience! I got my Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and when our local school unfortunately shut down, I moved to a larger school for 3 years and worked with all years up to year 4. I also childminded after school regularly for friends. Since leaving a school setting, I have had 4 nanny jobs, one was working with a lovely family with two children aged 5 and 2. I looked after the youngest child during the day, we did lots of playing, indoors and out, we had visits to the park, did arts and crafts and baking, went swimming and to various groups, I also did the school runs, a bit of housekeeping and meal times. I also worked as a mother’s help for three children, aged 18 months and newborn twins, we still see each other every school holiday, which is lovely as myself and my family have been able to see the children grow, starting school and nursery! I did some weekend work last year, helping a mum in her final year of uni, so she could go to weekend lectures. I looked after her 9 month old daughter, we went on walks, we also went to the park and to local museums and play sessions. At the moment I work as a part time nanny looking after one child. He is 2 years old now, I started looking after him when he was just 8 weeks old! We go out for walks to the park, to different toddler groups, messy play, music bugs, tumble tots for example and lots of playing at home and in the garden! Now he has started nursery, I am looking for another part time job as I have some extra hours in my week! I have some great references from my previous and current jobs and I also have a current DBS certificate. Over the years I have held First Aid qualifications, varying from basic to Paediatric. I have always loved working with children! It just feels right.
I have an NNEB and more recently completed a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Anytime to suit, really! I am available anytime of the day or night. I would be happy working occasionally at the weekend.
