I am a 48 Yr old single mother of two girls and I live at home with my teenage daughter. I live in Stockwell on Wandsworth Road. I am available Sunday to Wednesday.
I've worked as a Teaching Assistant/SEN TA/Au Pair/Babysitter for several years now.
I am kind, loving, patient and caring and enjoy working with children as I have done so for 19yrs.
My Experience
I have worked with children for 19 yrs in a variety of settings. I have worked as an Au Pair for 2 brothers, in Private & State Nurseries, After School & Holiday clubs, 1 to 1 work with children with disabilities in different after school settings, but my most recent role was a Yr 3 Teaching Assistant at a Primary School where I worked for 4 years. I also have two girls (and now 2 granbabies!!!) so my experience covers a whole lot!
***My grandson has a very rare genetic disease called DYRK1A and my Granddaughter has Autism so my availability has changed!!***

The lady that left the negative reference is untruthful. Over the 3 months that I worked for her yes I did pick her son up late up from after school club BUT only as last year June I think it was when we had torrential rain that lead to Flooding and buses were only going to Battersea Bridge for a period of time and I needed to get to Chelsea. I liased with the child's after school club teacher until I reached the club. The child was not distressed in anyway. On the second occasion there was a Road Traffic Accident in Vauxhall so no buses were coming up Wandsworth Rd so I was unable to get to the child (he was later picked up by his Aunt). I am now a regular uber user so these problems no longer occur when relying on London Transport.

Jo is a great babysitter! We loved that she offered to pop round before our first booking so that she could meet us and the children in advance, really thoughtful. Our little boy, 7, thinks she’s great fun and is always pleased when he hears Jo is babysitting. Jo thoughtfully brought round a Star Wars book to read with him as she knew he was a fan. Jo is also brilliant with our girl, 9, who is severely disabled. She’s very caring and kind.
Jo’s always communicative and on time. We would definitely recommend her!

Jo is such lovely caring sitter. She took care of my special need 15 year old son, and 8 year old daughter.. highly recommend ..

Jo was available to look after our kids ( 3 and 11 ) on Christmas Day at Short notice . I didn’t meet her. They spent 12 hours at her place. My 11 years old told me they had a good time , that Jo was really nice to her and my 3 years old really liked her too. The only negative feedback not enough toys to play for a 3 years old there , but we will definitively use her again.

Jo has worked with my daughter who has autism for many years on and off. She has exceptional patience in this area and embraces it with ease. Jo has also worked with my 2 younger sons term time, holidays and after school. They have gone to go karting, swimming, to museums and to see the xmas lights with jo. She attends their specific needs as 1 son is a vegetarian.

Jo has been providing weekend babysitting services for my two children (aged 3 and 1) since March 2017.
She has been providing these services at my home and always arrives on time. She has built a great relationship with my children and my eldest now gets excited when she knows Jo is coming to look after her. This gives me great comfort when having to go out and leave my children with her.
A kind, caring lady whom I would highly recommend.

She didn't show up at all on one day and left my son stranded in an after school club when I work an hour away and told me at 20 mins to time for pick up that she couldn't make it. Last straw was her coming 40 mins late to pick my son up from Drama making the teachers have to wait behind and of course making my son miserable at being the only one there for so long!! I think she has childcare issues of her own. Probably best she babysits for you at home. Don't rely on her for pick up etc. Sweet personality always says darling etc but can get a bit rude/aggressive when corrected.

Although I never got the pleasure of meeting Jo (Due to the hours i needed not being in line with hers) She had the courtesy to send me a lovely message wishing me all the best,When I found someone else to accept the position only because of the flexibility i needed. Other then that i would have loved for Jo to be a part of my daughters life. She is very warm and welcoming and responds to messages quickly. You can instantly tell she has a kind nature about her just by speaking to her. All the best Jo xxxx
