Hello, my name is Olivia. I am 30 years old and I live in Cornwall. I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual.
Since my first day of working in a local pre-school I couldn't see myself doing anything else but working with children. Going to work and getting the opportunity to impact a child's day in a positive way whether that be through fun, creating happiness or general care is an amazing thing to have the opportunity to do.
I am currently the manager of a local nursery and can offer evening babysitting services and throughout the weekend.
I have two young children myself who are 3.5 years and 5 months old.
My Experience
Throughout school and college Ih completed work experience at both a youth centre and Primary schools. Following from college where I gained my BTEC in health and social care , I began working at a nursery setting in Redruth. Here I worked towards my level 3 in childcare and young peoples workforce qualification. At the nursery I worked with children from 6 months to 11 years, but mainly based as a key worker in pre-school for the next 3 and a half years. My first year at the nursery I worked 1:1 with a little girl with learning disabilities until she left for school.
I have worked in the nursery setting for 8 years now where I have become manager.
I worked for 6 months in Val d'isere as a nanny for Scott Dunn travel. Where I worked with children from 2 months old to 12 years, I worked as both a private nanny and in a children's club.
I have done private nanny care for children in their own home and often babysit in the evenings and on weekends.
My other jobs have included working in hotels, restaurants and serco as a health advisor.
