My name is Laura McGrath, I live with my partner and 4 children in School Aycliffe. I have worked in accounts for ten years while studying alongside to get my degree. Early 2015 I decided I wanted to change my career; I completed a childminding qualification with the council, a first aid course and I registered with Ofsted as a qualified childminder. This meant not only could I look after my own children, I am now able to provide a high quality of childcare at affordable prices for families. After using a childminder myself for nearly six years, I understand the struggles of juggling working life and home life and want to be able to help other families.
My Experience
I am a newly registered childminder and have started working in 2016, I have had a great first few months. Our days have included making, baking, singing, playgroups and of course lots of playing! I have four children of my own, therefore have a large amount of experience with children. I also have helped my friends out with looking after their children on a number of occasions.
My Qualifications
2.1 Degree in Management
CACHE level 3 in preparing to work in home based childcare.
Level 1 in safeguarding children.
Level 3 paediatric first aid
My Availability

My official work hours are 7am - 7pm however I am more than happy to extend these if needed. I am very flexible and willing to work with families to make their childcare as easy as possible. I am able to do school drop offs and pick up from Heighington School and Heighington Pre-School if needed.
