When I return I will be offering daytime nanny care with my 1 year old joining, ad hoc after school and school holiday care for children with additional needs/ medical needs.

I currently work for the NHS as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner, and separately as a Personal Assistant for families with children with a variety of additional needs. Those I currently work with range in age from 6-21 years.
I work around my NHS role on an as needed basis during the week, giving employers set after school days or ad hoc hours. I also work some weekends for families wanting respite care, or with several children for grouped days out.
I am currently offering overnight respite care for children with additional needs in my home.

My Experience
I have 8 years experience as a PA, currently work for the NHS as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner, and previously worked as a Special Support Assistant at an SEN school, and as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant for the NHS. I have experience working with young people with a variety of disabilities and medical conditions, including Autism, Epilepsy, and Type 1 Diabetes.
My Qualifications
BSc Human Communication Science
FdSc Speech, Language and Communication Science
Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status
Previous training undertaken in gastrostomy feeding, first aid, EpiPens, Epilepsy and administering Buccolam, blood checking and injecting insulin for type 1 diabetes, experience using an insulin pump and CGM, Rebound Therapy, PECS, Attention Autism, Makaton, BSL Level 2.
DBS checks and First Aid courses are now out of date due to Maternity Leave and would need to be retaken prior to starting a role.
My Availability

On return I will be available for daytime care with my 1 year old joining, ad hoc after school and school holiday care for children with additional needs/ medical needs.
If my baby is able to be with me whilst I am caring for your child my availability is throughout the week. If not, I am only available at weekends or potentially one day a week after school.
Overnights: At the moment I am not able to offer overnight care, but will be resuming this soon. When I do: I am able to book regular overnight respite stays in my home or on an as needed basis, including possibly school pick ups/drop offs and weekends dependent on location.
