When our son first started with Sam, he was just a baby at 1 year old, and as he now gets ready to leave for nursery, we can honestly say that choosing her was one of the best decisions we have ever made. She has provided so much more than childcare – she has given him a second home.
From the very beginning, she welcomed him into her family and cared for him with genuine love, patience and kindness. Every day we left him with complete confidence, knowing he was safe, happy and being looked after by someone who truly cared about him. The bond they have built is something we will always treasure.
The positive influence she has had on his development has been incredible. She has helped shape him into the polite, respectful and confident little boy he is today. His manners are wonderful, he understands boundaries and respect, and he has learned so many valuable life skills during his time with her. We often smile when people comment on how well-behaved he is – and much of that is thanks to the guidance and consistency she has provided. In fact, he never opens cupboards or touches things that don't belong to him, which says so much about the respect and understanding she has helped instil in him.
What has always stood out most is the genuine love and care she shows every child. Our son has never been treated as just another child in her care; he has been treated like one of the family.
Even our son's grandparents have been hugely impressed by her. They have often commented on how wonderful she is and how lucky we are to have found someone so caring, professional and dedicated. Their approval means a great deal to us, and they have seen first-hand the positive impact she has had on our son.
As we prepare to say goodbye and watch him start nursery, we do so with mixed emotions. We are excited for his next adventure, but sad to be leaving someone who has played such an important role in his early years. We will always be thankful for the love, care, guidance and support she has given him.
We cannot recommend Sam highly enough. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have their child cared for by her. She has helped give our son the very best start in life, and for that we will always be grateful.
If we ever had another child they would be going to Sam's.

Choosing childcare for your child is one of the hardest decisions a parent has to make, and after a very difficult experience with another childminder, I was incredibly anxious about leaving my daughter in someone else’s care again. Finding Sam was the best thing that could have happened to our family.
My daughter is a wonderful little girl, but she can be anxious, stubborn, emotional, and has struggled with eating issues. Sam took the time to truly understand her and adapted her care to meet her individual needs. Her patience, kindness, and flexibility were remarkable, and she always made us feel supported every step of the way.
The home-from-home environment Sam created was exactly what my daughter needed. It gave her the security and comfort to build her confidence, develop socially, and grow into a much happier and more independent little girl. Sam never tried to fit her into a box; instead, she worked with her personality and needs, helping her thrive at her own pace.
As parents, knowing our daughter was happy, safe, and understood gave us such peace of mind. Sam’s support extended beyond childcare – she became a trusted and valued part of our lives.
We will always be grateful for everything Sam has done for our daughter and our family. She truly saved us when we needed it most, and we will miss her enormously. Any child would be lucky to be cared for by her.

We started this adventure when Gabie was just a little 4 months old, we were obviously quite anxious to leave her so small but from day 1 I could only feel at peace while dropping her to Sam.
Gabie is happy and in a safe environment, surrounded by Sam’s wonderful family and her little friends. She goes there with a smile on her face and that’s what matters the most.
Sam has always been attentive and very professional, sharing her best advices and providing the best care we could hope for.
We feel extremely lucky to have crossed paths with her and would recommend Sam to any parents.
We look forward to the next toddler chapter of fun and learning together thanking her massively for these past months so far.

We feel like we hit the jackpot with Sam! When we started to look for childcare over a year ago for our then 11 month old daughter we were apprehensive about leaving her with someone else for so long - we needn’t have been! Sam and her family are the most welcoming, warm, loving people you could imagine and our daughter adores her time there.
Sam has helped her become the most brilliant little two year old - since we first dropped her off over a year ago, we have watched our daughter learn how to walk and talk and develop into an astoundingly smart, confident and hilarious person. This owes so much to Sam, who has limitless energy and a fantastic sense of humour. She brings out the very best in the children she looks after and cares deeply about each of them. We have felt reassured from the start that our daughter receives the best possible care and attention while she isn’t with us, which has made returning to work so much easier than we’d anticipated.
We absolutely love Sam and are so grateful that we found her - we just hope she’ll have space for our second daughter in a year’s time!

Everyone knows how nerve-wracking finding a childminder can be. Someone to care for yours like they would care for their own. Someone who gets your child's wicked sense of humour and wierd obsessions. Someone who looks after other children who can become you're child's first friends. And most importantly, someone who lives close enough to home but also near the train station so you can shoot off to work after drop offs!
Your must haves may be different to ours but we found all of the above at Sam's. It's been 4 months since we dropped off our little, 11 month old boy with Sam. He is out last one and so we were naturally nervous. He probably sensed this, given that the first time he we left him with Sam he screamed for hours and we ended up having to come get him! Poor Sam must have thought 'what have I got myself into!' But if she thought it she didn't show it! She was really patient and after a mere two weeks of drop offs, there were no more tears, just smiles and squeals and hugs and kisses. Lots and lots of hugs and kisses!
Sam's home and the environment she has created is really lovely and our little boy absolutely loves being there. He's also made lots of new friends and after being a little fussy and clingy, he's now eating and walking like a champ! We honestly couldn't be happier!
Highly, highly recommend!

Sam has been looking after my daughter since she turned 1. That was over a year ago and we continue to be very happy with the care and service that she provides. As a first time Mum, I was nervous at the idea of going back to work and leaving my daughter with a childminder, but she settled with Sam almost immediately; got used to her routine, napping well and having a good appetite at mealtimes so any concerns I had were quickly allayed. All the children that Sam looks after quickly become part of her family - indeed, my daughter also loves spending time with Sam's husband and teenage children when they're home who all make a great fuss of her. Sam's house is well-equipped for childminding, with plenty of space for the kids to play (and in my daughter's case, dance!) and a roomy garden as well. Sam also takes my daughter and the other children to toddler groups which gives them a good opportunity to socialise with other children. She provides homecooked meals which is another bonus. My daughter continues to thrive under Sam's care.

I would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for an experienced childminder. She has a lovely big house with large garden with lots of toys. She regularly takes my daughter to playgroups and brings back little arts and crafts they’ve done together. My daughter gets excited when I drop her off and sometimes gets upset when she has to leave which is a good sign that she enjoys her time with Sam! Sam is a very warm and friendly person who obviously loves children, she has a lovely family of her own who are all very good with young children which makes it a real home away from home setting, which was what I wanted for my daughter who started off going to Sam from 9 months. She also has a large folder of childcare certificates and paperwork to view and is quick to respond to any messages or queries. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Sam again if I go on to have another child.

When looking for childcare for our daughter, myself and my husband wanted to find a home away from home, that was caring, attentive to her needs and provided the nurturing environment we wanted for her. Sam has done just that and more. Herself (and her wonderful family!) have embraced our daughter and she has become one of the family. Sam listens to us and is so supportive, not only in ensuring our little girl has everything she needs but in talking through our thoughts as parents and offering advice from her own experiences as a Mum and childminder (which has been invaluable as first time parents!). Since joining Sam, our daughter has blossomed, is growing in confidence and, most importantly, loves the days where she is with her.
With Sam, I feel like we truly have the best care we could have hoped for: an experienced Mum who loves what she does, has embraced us all like family to give our daughter everything she needs. I can't recommend her enough!
