I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend my childminder, Tracey, who has been caring for my daughter since January 2025, when she was 13 months old. As we are now moving away from London, I unfortunately have to say goodbye to Tracey, which absolutely breaks my heart — but it also means another child will have the wonderful opportunity to be in her care.

When my daughter first started, she experienced some separation anxiety, but Tracey worked closely with me to gently and patiently overcome this. As a single mum, I truly valued Tracey’s kindness, patience, and unwavering support during this transition. Thanks to her warm and nurturing approach, my daughter quickly settled and has been very happy and confident in her care ever since.

Tracey provides a safe, stimulating, and fun environment, offering the children a wide variety of enriching experiences. My daughter has enjoyed regular playdates with other childminding friends, visits to local playgroups, parks, and soft play sessions, as well as fantastic outings further afield, including trips to the London Zoo, the London Aquarium, Hampton Court Palace, Chessington World of Adventures, and Garson’s Pick Your Own Fruit Farm, to name just a few. These activities have given her invaluable opportunities to explore, learn, and develop her social skills in exciting and meaningful ways.

A huge bonus is that Tracey works alongside her fantastic daughter, Megan, who is a childcare assistant and is utterly adored by the children. They are an amazing team together, both incredibly caring, loving, nurturing, and also great fun to be around! They are very active and always out and about with the children, whether it’s having lunch in the park and feeding the ducks, visiting lavender fields in the summer, heading to a pumpkin patch for Halloween, or going to see Santa in December — alongside all the wonderful arts and crafts activities they do throughout the year. Having two adults for a maximum of five children also provides an extra level of attention, reassurance, and care for every child.

Tracey is reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely dedicated to the children she looks after. She has been a tremendous support to both my daughter and me, and I have always felt completely confident knowing my daughter is safe, happy, and thriving with her.

Tracey and Megan have truly provided a home away from home for my daughter, and for me as a mother, they have been an invaluable treasure to find. I will miss them both — and their entire family — enormously. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any parent looking for a trustworthy, loving, and exceptional childminder.
