I could not recommend Ewa enough if I tried! My daughter attended her setting at the beginning of September and like any parent I was extremely nervous about being away from my daughter for the first time.

From the first day my daughter was there she felt at home, welcomed with open arms and enjoyed being with her new friends who also welcomed her amazingly. For myself I felt extremely happy that I had chosen the best setting possible and knew that she was safe and happy! After the first couple of weeks my daughter would run into the door, high fiving her friends in as she went and had no concerns for mum leaving!

I always look forward to the photos of my daughter that Ewa sends at the end of every week of all the activity’s my child had got up to, and had a home communication book that Ewa would write in every day for all the enriching, stimulating and fun activity’s she would complete, along with simple details such as how often she went to the toilet and how much milk she drank.

She provides age appropriate activity’s for all children, and included my daughter even though she was smaller and younger in a highchair at the end of the table to ensure she was able to join in with all her friends! The activity’s that Ewa chooses to do include a range of resources that I had not even considered to be resources such as concers and some I had felt afraid for my daughter to use myself such as playdough which she thoroughly enjoyed and built so many new skills with!

As for communication my child has absolutely excelled with her talking ability, and even sings now as Ewa provides several activity’s that involve playing songs and letting the children dance with resources related to the songs, such as bunny ears for hop little bunny’s!

At this setting Ewa encourages all of the children to talk about a range of emotions and help them navigate how they are feeling. She also exaggerates her own emotions so the children do not feel alone and are able to understand how they feel in those situations. Her social and emotional understanding is soaring compared to when she first started in September!

Ewa has an outside area in her back garden which is not only equipped with amazing toys such as a slide, sand pit, windy house etc but she also sets up tuff trays with activity’s to do outside. I absolutely adore seeing the pictures of my child dressed in wellies and her waterproofs playing with other children as we don’t have the outside space to do this at home!

Not only the milestones my child is meeting within the setting, Ewa also records and congratulates the simple milestones we meet at home, from cutting teeth, to learning different colours!

Ewa is super flexible and understanding with everyday challenges as well from having appointments and arriving half way through the session. To simply being 5 minutes late we’re always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome! As a parent I also received so many tips on how to go about different aspects at home, from potty training to tantrums! As a young mum I was over the moon with how helpful she was able to answer any questions I had, or providing tips on aspects I hadn’t even considered!

My daughter transitioned over to cows milk whilst in ewas care, from being a dairy free baby with extreme colic and being under the paediatrics care this transition was extremely scary for myself as a mum but Ewa helped to provide a calm approach and could help her progress through the dairy ladder successfully. Before this, my child was on a specialised formula which Ewa was able to help overcome challenges associated with this formula, such as making bottles at a specific temperature which is not an easy task to do! I was also able to leave all types of milk at the setting so I had less to carry in and out everyday, and would pick it up for the weekend, along with nappy’s, wipes and everything bulky.

Overall I am so happy to have found this setting and my child has received the best care possible. I am so upset about having to leave Ewa, and the person to take my daughter’s space is extremely lucky!
