I am a former professional actress who has worked for the BBC, Channel 4 and the national theatre.
I am also studying counseling, my ultimate goal is to be working as a therapist for young people.
I have 6 years of nannying experience and 2 years teaching drama and performance to children aged 2-18.
I am the eldest of three ( my brother is almost 10 years my junior) my parents have both worked in childcare.
My mother is a college lecturer, teaching early years studies to the sixth former and my father has previously worked in child services as well as running adventure playgrounds for under 16's.
I possess a calm, fun, warm, and encouraging personality.
I believe in the power of learning through play and encourage children to express themselves creatively. I am also very passionate about making the most of local activities and involving children in their community.
I enjoy caring for children of all ages and feel I would be suitable for a family looking for a caring, fun, and active nanny. above all, I am kind and patient and want to create trusting, fun and safe relationships with children.
My Experience
Private nanny. Responsibilities include; pick up, meal prep, bath time, playdates, supervising music, and homework.
Previously I have worked as a freelance teaching assistant in primary schools as well as helping to run drama lessons for under 12's
I provided one-on-one care for children under 8 at primary schools, including special needs children. This included supporting them in lessons, providing extra help with homework, and encouraging them to interact with their fellow pupils.

Carla looked after my four year old boy during lockdown in summer 2020 and we could not have had a better experience. She was so attentive, responsible and relaxed from the first meeting on, and George had an absolute blast with her. He had not had experience with nannies before but was always completely excited to see her and it felt like Carla really made the effort to get to know him properly and make their time together fun. I had complete trust in Carla at all times: to take him out, prepare and give him meals and there were never any issues with her keeping George occupied and happy while we were also working in the house. I am only sad she moved cities! George still asks about her six months on.

Carla's been great. Nothing is too much trouble and she has happily picked up, fed, entertained and bathed our kids - including our 18 month old twins. She is always quick to reply to texts and has been flexible if we've needed to swap days. The kids always look forward to the days she is about. We would definitely recommend her.
