About Me
My name is Janie Frater, I am an OFSTED registered childminder who is dedicated to helping your child discover, experiment and learn, whilst in my care. I am also a mother of two young boys, Layton 7 and Finley 5. They have 3 older siblings, Leanne Liam and Emma Louise which I have raised for the past 14 years, so I am extremely experienced when it comes to taking care of lots of children.
My house is child friendly with lots of equipment and activities for the children. I also have a child friendly garden with swings, slide, seasaw, ride on’s and much more fun for outside play.
I am a very caring and loving person and love spending time with children, watching them grow and become the incredible individuals they are.

My Experience
I live in a nice part of Manchester, I am not to far from the supermarkets and a local park, and around 10 minuet commute to Manchester city centre.
It is easy to park outside my house to drop your children off and collect them.
I trained with Manchester City Council and within my setting I will be implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage in my activities. All my activities will have each of the following integrated into them:
• Physical development
• Personal social and emotional development
• Expressive Art and design
• Communication and language
• Understanding the world
• Mathematics
• Literacy
As well as following the EYFS framework, I will continue to do observations of each child’s development and plan activities to help stimulate and improve each child’s area of learning.
These observations will all be available for parents/carers, through the learning journals each child will have.
I will take part in training courses to continue my development and knowledge, to enable me to my job to the best of my ability.

She is amazing with my son, ensure that he has around physical, mental and cognitive development. She is flexible and dependent especially when I call her on a short notice. Communication with her is five star, listens to my observations and gives me positive feedback.

She has been looking after my son in the past year, we are 100% happy with the service she provides. She listens to our son's needs and cooperates very well with us. She is flexible when needed and reliable, and would recommend to anyone. She Takes children under her care out often to various programs/playgroups, etc and my son loves to go to her. She was a good choice for us:)
