Wish we could have stayed forever!

My daughter was in Helen’s care for just over a year: 11 months - 2 years old and was our first experience of a childcare setting and I wish we could have stayed with Helen until my daughter went to school (only reason we didn’t is we moved out of area).
From the get go my husband and I knew Helen was the perfect fit for our needs. She went above & beyond to ensure we all felt comfortable with the set up and adhered to our slightly strange shift working hours pattern. My daughter has loved every single minute of her time with Helen and we have been so impressed with how her setting was ran. As a teacher myself it was so wonderful seeing Helen using EYFS teaching techniques & set ups in her home & garden. Every day was a new experience for my daughter & she always came home with wonderful tales of her adventures at Helen’s. If you live in the area & are looking for a childminder, go and meet with Helen and I can guarantee you’ll understand what we mean.

Definitely recommend Helen!!

Our daughter has been with Helen since the age of 1 (she is now 3 going on 4). As soon as we met Helen for her first day DD took Helen’s hand and walked inside with her to start playing. No hesitation! Helen’s kindness and calmness is the perfect antidote to her robust and expressive nature and it has really helped to shape her character towards a more caring and respectful one.

Helen has created a wonderful family environment where our daughter feels right at home. Everyday Helen sets up a variety of arts and crafts exercises and/or takes the kids on multiple fun excursions and nature walks. Everything from planting daffodil bulbs, Autumn leaves collecting, dancing and singing and just about anything that makes a child smile. We nearly always pick up a happy and satisfied child.

Our home is a bilingual household, so Helen has really helped to develop our daughter’s English, with great results. She sends us daily updates on language and numeracy developments. Even after 2 years Helen is consistent with updates on all the daily developments. It really helps us and keeps us informed so we don’t feel like we are missing out on any elements of our daughter’s early years.

When it was time for our daughter to start going to preschool in 2021, Helen worked with us to find a bespoke solution that would work for all of us. She now takes care of our daughter in the afternoons and during the holiday periods. We are so appreciative of her support every day for our daughter.

Amazing Childminder! 5 stars 🌟 Highly Recommended

Recommendation:

Helen looked after our daughter for almost two years of her life (ages 1-3). When planning to return to work back in 2018, I visited a few child minders before we met Helen and she gave me a that warm, calm and reassured feeling. Plus how she focused on my daughter and interacted with her made me feel at ease. Plus her setting was so lovely each term would have theme, it was child focused, clean and spacious. Helen provided settling in sessions at the beginning and our daughter settled in so well (no tears at all) and became a part of the family.

Helen is kind, caring, attentive, friendly and patient person. Our daughter has always been happy to go to Helen's and always had such an enjoyable time. She leaves with a smile on her face and as she got older would talk happily about the activities and things they have done throughout the day and friends she played with.

Helen provides a fun filled and structured creative learning environment. Our daughter has grown and developed so much during her time with Helen and she supported her through different milestones including potty training.

Helen provides healthy home cooked meals; breakfast, lunch, tea, water, milk and snacks.

Helen would regularly send updates on how our daughter was doing including photos which enabled me to feel at ease when at work.

Helen has a big garden area which our daughter loved playing outside. Helen's activities included trips to park, walks in the woods, picnic lunch and visit to library. Singing, dancing, reading, art and craft activity, baking and educational/developmental adult led activity (tailored at our daughters age).

Helen would go above and beyond for our daughter and I can honestly say I felt safe and reassured our daughter was being well cared for and looked after while I was at work.

As well as a daily update to let us know how she was doing, she would provide a regular end of day update including food she was offered, what she ate, naps, toileting etc.

Helen celebrates birthdays and other important occasions eg mother and fathers day, easter and Christmas etc. And it was so lovely to receive handprint cards which we will treasure.

We can't thank Helen enough for the support and care she has given our daughter and the positive impact she has had in her life. We will miss you and your lovely family so much.

So yes, we would HIGHLY recommend Helen as a child minder, she is Amazing and does such a Wonderful job.
