I am a freelance Ofsted registered childcare provider who loves working with children. I have many years experience and have four grown up children who are currently at university/college.
I enjoy art and craft and have my own pottery studio. I enjoy the outdoors and am a keen walker and occasional runner. I love animals/pets. I have a keen interest in health and nutrition.
My Experience
I have a great deal of childcare experience. While bringing up my own 4 children, I became an Ofsted registered childminder, rated outstanding on both my inspections. During this time I formed a close relationship with the families I worked for. I have an interest in Reggio, Montessory, Steiner, home schooling and forest school approaches and I worked as a Forest School Assistant for a term with a local school. My calm and friendly approach works well with children and I am particularly skilled at settling them on their first time without their parents/ family. I have excellent references available from recent babysitting jobs.
My Qualifications
I completed courses in line with EYES requirements while childminding including child development and safeguarding. Also Child protection, ACE and working with parents with learning difficulties as part of my job as Family Support Worker.
