About Me
Hello, I’m Gemma and I am 26 years old.
I have worked with children since I was 16. I completed my SVQ in childcare over 3 years whilst working in a nursery setting. I have experience caring for newborns up to pre-school age in a nursery setting, caring for children in their own homes (babysitting) and also working in an after school care setting with children age 5-11.
I have covered and demonstrated all aspects of care for children whilst in the nursery environment, after school care and also with my niece and nephew at home. My niece is now 6 years old and my nephew is 1 and a half. I have played a huge role in their care and upbringing as my brother and his fiancée have very demanding jobs.
From a very young age I was always aware that caring for children was a passion of mine and now I can honestly say I feel that it is my purpose in life to help shape the world view of children so that they can grow and flourish in to the best version of themselves possible!
I am currently training to be Yoga teacher too! I love being active and as well as looking after my physical health, I enjoy looking after my mental health through mindfulness, meditation, yoga and connection to the earth and nature.
I also love to draw, paint, make crafts and immerse myself in a good book!
I have just finished 2 months nannying in Ibiza which was a beautiful experience.
