My Requirements

Live-in/Part Live-in Nanny / Nanny-Housekeeper needed for two school age children in Surrey :)

Flexible start date

Location: KT22

Pay: c£120 - £150 per day depending on experience (based on live-in just on work days only). Ideally I am looking for someone who is self-employed but we can discuss the finer details of this face-to-face.

Children ages: Boy nearly 11 years, girl 8 years – both in school so considerable time alone during term time (7 hours per day typically). My son has dyslexia so someone with experience of that would be amazing.

Contract length: Permanent

Working days and hours:
• As a minimum I need Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday covered while I am at work in London (which days I work in London could be changed if needed).
• Working hours typically 7am - 6.30/7pm (c 7-8 hours child-free per day).

Ideally looking for someone who is happy to live-in on a few of their work days as generally easier/more reliable but equally fine with live-out if very local; there is flexibility around that so please do get in touch to discuss options.

Summary of role:
Great opportunity to join a busy, down-to-earth family in leafy Surrey. Working family with two children and looking for a lovely, reliable, emotionally intelligent/sensitive, robust, unflappable professional nanny to become an integral part of the family.

This is a predominantly a sole care position as mum works, with the main active working hours being mornings before school and after school during term time.

Duties include:
• Getting children up and ready for school
• School runs in car (DRIVER ESSENTIAL)
• Care of children’s belongings (washing and ironing their clothes and bedding, tidying/maintaining toys)
• Ensuring the children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy / light housekeeping
• Prepare healthy meals for the children/family (batch cooking a couple of times a week when both kids are in school all day would be great so a decent cook would be a huge bonus!)
• Helping kids complete homework
• Light housework at the end of the day in areas the children have used (kitchen, play areas, dining area etc)
• Arranging playdates/social schedules and plan days out outside of term time.

Ideal candidate: Hoping to find someone who is fun, energetic, loving, very patient/calm, professional, robust, proactive, hard-working, organised, open, friendly, direct, tidy, reliable, flexible, good sense of humour. An excellent communicator is essential. Confident, sensible driver. Fluent English. No smoker. At least 5 years experience in a similar role or have raised own children.

Car: Use of nanny car (manual).

Accommodation (if staying over): Own bedroom and bathroom.

Looking for someone long term but would really like at the very least a one year commitment to ensure continuity for the children.
