About Me
Hi I'm Mel. I have dedicated the last 15 years to early years and caring for children having been a registered childminder since 2002. I have 3 children aged 18,15 and 10. And two wee shih tzus called Toby and Bella who are very child friendly. I have a large 6 bedroom house with a garden with lots of room to play. Also having a 7 seater car I like to go out and about. I have passes for east links family park and almond valley. I love to take advantage of all the local resources e.g. Toddler groups, parks, book bugs and peep groups. I can accommodate most nursery, school and home pick ups and drop offs .
My Experience
For the last 15 years all my experience has been in early years as both a child minder and foster Carer.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified early years practitioner with a SVQ level 3 in child care learning and development. I have completed a PEEPs course and qualified to take PEEP classes. In both my role as a foster Carer and childminder I have completed many different courses the most relevant being first aid, food hygiene and child protection.

My nearly 7 year old has been going to mels for over a year. She has attended other childminders but has never been happy in collection but with Mel she has thrived. She loves going to Mels after school and spending tome doing activities with her and the other children. Mel loves her job and it’s clear to see. She helped with at a difficult time and has not only supported my daughter but me aswell I would not go anywhere else for childcare now or in the future.
